How to get the most out of the Secret Box Event
Hello fellow Basilers i present to you my quick guide on how to get the most out of the current Secret Box event.
As you know this Hyper Evolution update has come to be one of the most anticipated ones along with BB and chaos. For one this update is giving us veteran maplers the excuse we needed to play our explorers again, and giving not so veteran maplers who only know the game trough newer classes the oportunity to laugh to our faces and say: We're still better than you b***es. Furthermore the update has brought exciting new content: evolution system, miwoks event, jewel crafting (still to come), dimension PQ and the secondary equipment. Not so exciting content: kerning square and monster park update and that beach that no one cares about. And finally our old friends: hot, happy and box. At the time even when i read the update notes i though this event for what it was seemed pretty tame but when i finished to patch and loaded the game i saw chaos. Most of the time when i spawn i appear at ardentmill cuz u know no town lag or other BS. That time i logged into ch 1 and saw the unthinkable, some poor noob droped his tempest epaulet, so i got it in a blink of an eye, then i check and damn! is EPIC but crappy pot T_T, regardless i say to myself: Dis ma lucky day lets get pimpin

[b]Quick guide:[/b]
What u have to know if u already dont is that by hunting u can get this Secret Boxes (they expire with the event at the 23rd) that can contain sweet stuff depending on ur level. Cuz no one cares about that crap u get if ur 99- lets focus on lvl 100+. From the boxes u can get:
2 lined EPIC tempest equip (epaulet, ring, pendant and belt), frog hats(lvl 50, all +8,+5 atk/matck), branch noses, fiery fox and lollistar maces, confussion frags, philosophers and a lot of pots T_T
So four you to get the most money and better equipment (9-12%tempest, potted noses) out of this event i compiled the next list of advice :
1. Keep getting boxes: use a 100+ alchemist, hunt at evo system (link 3 obviusly), it really pays off the 1st core upgrade, (use mapcleaners like lumi, kanna {if u can stand the lag} or DS), ull be swimming in 6%'s in no time.
2. If u run out of inventory space sell unwanted 6% to a merch if u have lots of space keep ur 6% and wait till the event ends.
For Bera: dont go less than 7m i know everyone wants 10 but that will take time away from (1).
3. Keep all of ur 9%+ (or trade only), u better wait till event ends to sell them.
4. Fuse all ur crappy pots (and noses) u might downgrade to rare or lose pot but eventually ull get a decent pot: 3 lines with good pot or a kickass atk bonus pot.
5. Going pandora style: when u finally are ready to start opening boxes u want to be prepared so u can rapidly open all boxes, unveil the potential and fuse, sell, move or drop the stuff u get and return to the farm, so 1st do a spring clean and get ur inventory ready cuz u will need lots of equip and use space (keep in mind ull get lots of pots and sometimes scrolls), 2nd unveil pots (ull get some glasses out of the boxes too) and 3rd sort ur stuff, decide the future of that stuff and continue the hunt.
[b]In summary[/b]
Keep: 9%+'s, bugeyed frog hats, cunfusions and philosophers.
Sell: unwanted 6% (dont sell hastly, use this event to equip all of ur characters, remember that DA is coming so keep a spare HP% set) or keep if u have the space.
Fuse: everything else (crappy pot, lollistar, fiery fox, noses)

PS2 To get the 1st core upgrade at evo lab (those tree circle shaped cores that are locked) u have to complete a quest inside the evo system (the quest consist of getting drops much like links unlock), to get that quest u have to use a core that can be purchased at the evo lab store (150 coins i seem to remember).

Thanks for the FB and also if u are able to sell quickly and constantly all of ur crappy pots for 500k then is np, but i have to tell that by fusing i got a 12 atk bonus pot in one ring and the boxes equips have no bonus pot, so its your decision.

U should start merching some of that stuff i think O__O
I collect about 100 an hour without killing anything. I go in to collect and out. Go in to collect and out. I have too much stuff. I got no more slots to free up. So i am taking a break from maple. Just a day i hope. I cant decide what to do. Level up or make mesos. Is having lvl 200 an accomplishment or 30 lvl 200 an accomplishment? Especially u dont hack or buy leech.

I'd do the fusion, but I am poor, so I rather merch all the crappy pots for 500k each. To fuse, you need 2 of the same items, so Fusion ~ 1mil.
I figure that the profit from getting the perfect fusion bonus (atk or matk bonus) to match with the stats (STR, DEX, INT, LUK) is low enough that i'll make the same about of money selling for 500k each.

To farm boxes i found that the better cores are +100% population, those are very rare but a great improvement. In general:
use:
population+ cores (red)
drop rate+ cores (orange)
if u already unlocked the other 3 core slots use them to get ores or maybe herbs
avoid (if u can't 1hko the mobs):
monster level+ cores (red)
monster hp + (red)
equips cores (cuz theyll fill ur inventory with crap unless u have the unique drop core that brings them rare+ potential)
Try to get in all the hero's gauntlet races and miwok recues u can cuz sometimes those reward bags have 1.5dropx1h coupons and i recommend DS cuz demon cry gives u a boost on exp and drop rate.

Until now i got 2 12%'s and 5 9%'s out of 1000+ boxes. For me has been like 5-7 6%'s, 3 frog hats, 8 noses and a pair of maces every 100 boxes. For the confussion frags and philosophers i got 4 and 6 respectively. Of course i entered evo system the first day when it seemed to me that the drop rate was higher and there was no limit entries for my character. Also i used 2x Drop.
Has anyone got more Hexagonal shaped cores other than Cassandras?
