Venting about public transit

I felt so sad for this one woman, with tons of groceries, who missed her stop because the bus was THAT packed. Understandable that the bus driver wouldn't want people to be late for anything by waiting for another bus, but you'd think it'd be pretty basic to stop the bus for another few seconds and allow some form of moving and shifting around to take place. She even yelled to the driver to open the doors, and nothing.

I've had numerous drivers who insisted on cramming every inch of the bus. They go on and say, "I can do this all day, I get paid for this. So I advise you all to move back, or I'm not moving this bus." Or course you would want to fit as many people as possible, but it's totally at the expense of others. Because of this jack, I missed my lecture that day.

Share incidents of jack TTC drivers.

Packed bus:
Higher chances of missing your stop.
Nothing to hang onto, except the obese man in front of you.
Elderly who are forced to stand, because there is literally no room at this point to even offer your seat.

In Edmonton, we have a common courtesy thing where disabled and old people have reserved seats. And the bus is never full.

The buses that my uni takes care of is really good with passengers and stuff. They try to cram as many people as well but they won't drive just because someone was too slow.
In Cali (or at least SF) the front seats have to be given up to the elderly and disabled. It's common courtesy anyways...
