Are you stupid? MMOs need new content CONSTANTLY to run through, or else the playerbase will become bored and leave. In fact, that's one of the trademark things about MMOs.
Why do you think such amazing games like Demon's Souls don't have very populated servers? Because a new game in the series came out, and since it's NEW CONTENT (there's the keyword) everyone decided to play it instead.

Why do you think people demand sequels to popular games, and why do you think the people behind such games as Call of Duty keep on releasing new games? It's a win-win for everybody if they add on to the games, or the story.
