Tips to getting a flat stomach needed.

Hey there! I'm a 13 year old boy and i'm starting to get worried because my stomach has been getting rounder now. I'd really like some tips on getting a flat stomach. I have no access to a gym.

I do this 4-5 times a week: 100 crunches, 100 sit-ups, 100 other type of crunches and 100 seconds of planking in total in 45 minutes at night. Is this enough? OH! And i'm eating healthier and watching what i eat.

1. play a sport. this is really important
2. 400 situps a day. no excuses.
3. Make sure youre ACTUALLY eating healthier 0.o none of this "maybe i'll just have a little more" chicken sht
4. 45 min is WAYYYYYYY too long to do a 100 of each. after you're done with the first excercise, do the next one IMMEDIATELY. no rest in between
during the summer i did 3 sets of 400 situps WITHOUT STOPPING. i am an athlete tho

Well, the easiest way to lose weight and maintain a healthy body is probably to take up a sport. If you have any sports that you enjoy, like football or basketball, try joining a local team or play with your friends a few times a week for about an hour. It's probably the best way to get abs if you think that exercising is boring. A prolonged session of sports does wonders on your body.
Also, the best exercise to do if you want to cut down on fat and tone would be skipping and boxing.

The number does not count, the way you do them is more important. Also take it easy with the junk food

A common misconception: You don't lose fat in your tummy simply by doing a lot of sit-ups/crunches. Fat is distributed across your entire body, some are collected more than other areas, in your case, core.
So while doing crunches might strengthen your abs, it is actually harder to lose fat that way compared to say, jogging daily.

Lay off the beer.

It's weird, I'm a pretty chubby girl but I still have a flat stomach. I see some skinny girls and they look 3 months pregnant, it's insane.

My big sister just does 200 crunches nightly before she sleeps, goes for a run every morning when she wakes up, and diets. She has a pretty flat stomach

If you want to tone then go running. I go for 4km per morning. Defs helps.
If you want a six pack. Start with SIT-UPS where you alternate sides. So your left elbow goes to the right knee. Vice-versa.

Running does help. Just make sure not to over eat after.

@Caelestys: sprinting is dumb when ur working on endurance and fat loss. And you dont wanna jog either. My main suggestion would be joining ur school's CC team. If not, run, not jog as far as you can and for as long as you can. DONT STOP. When you get tired jog. Then run again. Do that for 15 min. Go to a store and get a drink of water (I hate carying water bottles). Run again for 15 minutes. Do a steady jog on the way back home.

On days when you dont do that, do at home cardio, not strength building.

This is the way I did it in middle school to train for my track team... Now I do cc now that I'm a junior, and track :]

Running is fun~

Good to see that you do lots of ab's training, but it won't help with losing belly fat. You should do Cardio like running.

I've actually done a lot of research on this so hear me out.

Exercises: In order to get a flat tummy, you need to do interval sprint workouts, they are the best when it comes to dropping your weight.

Exercises to tone your core, midsection, do planks (which you already do so that's good) and mountain climbers. Situps and crunches are okay, but make sure to do lower ab exercises such as leg lifts.

Foods: Make sure to drink lots of water. Avoid carbs and sugars. Get your neccesary carbs from vegetables (not fruits, fruits has a lot of sugar).

And that's about it.

edit: for food section, remember to separate your meals into smaller meals. For example, if you ate one sand which for lunch, eat half of it and then save the other half for later. This will boost your metabolism and allows you to stay ahead of your hunger.

@crazygama So would 30 minutes of jogging everyday be good?

eat fewer carbs and drink lots of water. Eat healthy in general.

And go running, crunches and planks are a joke. They strengthen your core and make your back stronger, but they do little to nothing in the muscle department.

The thing with chest muscles is that everyone already has them, the hard part is getting rid of all the crudd thats covering up those washboard abs...

The only way to do that is to eat health and sweat...
