Post the maplestory black mage lore
So I was bored and did the Magatia quest line, and learned that Magatia is actually built on top of the black mage's lab.
What are some other little known lore about him?

Do the library questline thing with the baboon. It explains a lot about how he became the Black Mage while trying to find a light that would rid the world of darkness or something.
he was actually the white mage who was dubbed the transcendent of light, but was corrupted by power or something like that.
There once was an ugly mage. He was so ugly that everyone almost died. The end.
Few know that the Black Mage is not a real person. Years back, a lab in Magatia blew up and released poisonous chemicals into the world of maple. Many of the future generation had signs of schizophrenia and many seemed to be haunted by a shadowy figure whom the general populace of the island referred to as the 'Black Mage'. Some went on to slaughter animals everyday thinking they were fighting the black mage's minions, some took up the role of a certain 'hero', which explains why there are hundreds of 'phantoms', 'Evans', and so on.
He's not actually black.
