Are famous people above the law? By this; I mean compared to a normal person: We all know how 40% of celebrities do drugs and if they get caught with these drugs (Coke, weed, meth) They generally get community service while regular people can be sentenced to 20 years for having 10 grams of weed. Does being famous give you special treatment that makes the law benefit you? EDIT: Saying you have a better lawyer is invalid, any lawyer could simply say "I would like to cite the case (Insert celebrity getting off easy) where the defendant whom was under the same allegations and was given a sentence of (Insert hours of community service)"
Whats the most recent song youve fell in love with? I'm bored and I just randomly found This
What should I write about? At long last I make my way into college, and my first English class has a required 5,000 word assignment that can be written about anything. Problem is, I'm pretty bad with creativity and coming up with a topic, so with your infinite wisdom, please suggest a topic.
The walking dead season finale Holy crap, lots of things to discuss in the episode, what did you all think?
Conspiracy theory involving Twinkies Ok, we all know Hostess went out of business, so no more Twinkies will be made. We also know that Twinkies and roaches are only things that can survive a nuclear holocaust. The year is 2012. COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT.
A proof for perfection in this world, tangible to God? So, I was bored out shoveling snow, and I was thinking "Is there anything perfect in this world?", I eventually came to a conclusion. IF there is something perfect in this world, then that means perfection is obtainable IF there is nothing that is "Perfect" in this world, then that means the earth is the perfect breeding ground for imperfection. Now, I am no philosophy major, I have never taken the class(I wasn't offered it yet :/ ) So my logic might not stack up. Thoughts? Also, this could be tangible to God as it proves that perfection is obtainable and a real thing, which brings a step closer to proof for it
Whats your favorite cartoon intro? My favorite cartoon intro is this: I just love that beginning XD

Would you rather Ok this is a simple game, you post a scenario of "Would you rather A.... or B" Try to include the most info as possible in your scenario, you will answer the question of the person above you then propose your own scenario EXAMPLE: 1st poster: Would you rather live or die 2nd poster: Live, Would you rather A or B? Ok I'll start. Would you rather live in a world where everyone's name is steve, girls, and boys, PLUS everyone looks alike aside from gender features (All boys look the same, all girls look the same) OR Would you rather live in a world where humans never existed, you would be conscious as any animal you want.
Should I go for it? To summarize, should i kiss the girl im dating even though im not the greatest kisser and i think it'd turn out a little akward.we've been dating for about a week and i don't want to mess things up by doing things too early.
why do humans instictively find joy in others misfortune? what benifet is there to having this trait?
Why is suicide considered an option opposed to life? I really don't understand when people talk about life and death as if they're one thing, when they're fundamentally different and cannot even be compared to each other. The significance of one's death is directly tied to how they lived their life, life has meaning while death is just a reflection of that meaning, and as such, has none itself. Why do you people not understand such a simple lesson?
What are numbers? Just think about this for a minute: What exactly is math and numbers.... how do they seem to accurately represent so many things in the universe, how can they explain things throughout the universe, where did they come from? Are they some kind of magical representation beyond space and time, is there some kind of physical representation for all numbers? What ARE numbers? few posters: Obviously you don't seem to grasp this question I'm asking, it's more philosophical.
This will brighten your day [.s=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcTLJ692F70&feature=related]Enjoy[./s] If this link comes out wrong im sorry its my first time posting a link o.o
A question to athiests Ok, so, I was just thinking about something, and I want your input. You don't believe in any sort of diety due to a lack of evidence to prove it (correct me if I'm wrong), in the same way most people don't believe there's a telescope wielding uni-bomber on an asteroid plotting against earth, because there's no evidence to back up that claim. Now, following this logic, shouldn't those who use that argument apply that to real life? Or rather, what we perceive as real life? If you say there's no God because of a lack of evidence, then if you apply the same logic to life, there's no proof that the real world exists, and that it is just a perception in your phaneron. So, do you just apply the logic when and where it suits
What happens when something gets hotter than tempeture? Ok as I hope you all know, when objects get very hot (adding energy) they emit light waves, and like waves they have a wave length; now, when an object reaches the temperature 1.41x10^32 K the wavelength of an object becomes something known as the planks distance, the smallest possible distance in our universe. Now, theoretically speaking you can keep adding energy to that massive amount of death and get a wave that has a wavelength lower than a plank distance. Assuming this thing doesn't collapse into a Kugelblitz what would happen to the light waves, or even, the object? poster LINK PLEASE!
