Good point about the BSB getting the same dam increase.

I must be doing something wrong though with BSB since I'm not seeing it firing nearly that quick. It's quicker than ELE, certainly, but I'm not seeing it at close to 5-6X the speed (otherwise I'd absolutely agree with you that my calcs would be SERIOUSLY missing a huge factor!).

And no worries about sounding rude or anything, I don't mean to either. I honestly hoping I'm missing something obvious here and am using the skill wrong so I can dish out as much mobbing and multi-part bossing damage as i used to. This is one 'disagreement' I'd LOVE to be wrong in. =)

But I am- I used to hit for 2M+, 5 times with ELE (hypers added). That's 10M per hit, per enemy. Granted it only struck like 6 enemies, but that's fine.
Now with the new battleship one it's 3 hits for around 1M each. Every 5th ball will be the nice 2M+ 4 times.

But forget my damage numbers, look at the percentages- it's now 3 hits, 325%. Every 5th is 4*800.
Before it was 4 hits, 590% damage. Hypers brought that to 5 hits, 610% damage.

Even without hypers it was still 2360% per hit, 6 enemies. With hypers it was a staggering 3050%!
Now with battleship 4 out of 5 hits are a pitiful 975%. And the 5th is a solid 3200%.

That means it's basically equal 1/5 times, and the other 4/5 times it's about half powered. That's terrible. And the crit rate ont he 5th shot means nothing- Sairs approach 100% anyways.

I fail to see how those numbers lie about just how full of suck it is.

And further for the damage thing, using Bsb cut my dojo time by a whole 10 mins. (33 mins to 20). Plus we have 100% stance while in it. Plus it mobs and has 40% PDR.

How so? I'm doing far less damage with it than I used to with a hypered ELE. And on many maps the stupid balls can't even hit a target. I also can't attack the whole map at something like HT or Zak like before with ELE.

It seems we took a serious nerf as far as I can tell. But I'm sincerely wondering if I'm missing something that would make people say this skill is any good?

Play for fun if you're poor.

Corsairs are definitely a class i'd recommend maining, fun, though damage is mediocre with low funding until 4th job where it becomes a bit decent. But play it for the fun man! Fund along the way and youll get there.

Well in my opinion i think sairs are fun and you should main it because i think red makes them an even more fun char to play as, but its all on preferences and how you like to play
