What to do with 8000 dollars So I currently have 8000 dollars saved up. I don't have to pay for school or rent for the next 2 years. This means that I will have no significant expenses in the upcoming future. I spend about 150 dollars in grocery every month and 300 dollars in random crap from Amazon and clothes. That's all the money I spend. I am currently working 3 days a week. I don't start school again until September so I will probably work a bit more. That means at least 1000 more dollars added to my savings every month till then. So yea, what should I do? I am thinking of opening a TFSA with 2% interest rate and just storing it there. Getting paid 15 bucks a month doesn't sound bad. And it will also give me incentive to continue savin
So apparently smelling good does make you more attractive I had this female friend who I had known for about three months. We were placed in the same group for a project in one class and that's how I got to know her. No, I don't like her. She's just a friend. I usually took a shower right before I went to bed. But recently, I started taking it in the morning. My class with her begins at 8. Groups need to sit on the same table so she usually sits beside me. I'm not gonna lie, I smell fabulous after a shower. I don't use manly wood and pine smell shampoos. Instead, I use sweet smelling shampoos like head and shoulder smooth and silky because it just smells nicer. the day after I started showering in the morning, I noticed her leaning towards
Which job should I take So I have three "interviews" tomorrow. Two of them are pretty much guaranteed because they are not even asking for resumes. Just helping out around equipment manufacturing warehouse. They say the work isn't too physically demanding and I will only be doing light lifting. but minimum wage. (10.45/hr) -Dishwasher at a popular restaurant. Wage not specified. help me out here! I feel like warehouse labour and assistant looks th

Something awkward happened at work today So I was closing today. Overnight stockers came in and I was putting a cart into a freezer. I asked if there's any space in there. She said yes. Then she said "it's a wide drive". I didn't hear what she said so I just nodded. She then looked kinda confused and said "it's an exaggeration" while smiling as if I looked kinda mad & cold. After that I realized what she said. I feel so stupid and sorry at the same time. what do I do?
wtf this dude messaged me on facebook so there's this dude who lived across me this school year in our first year dorm. we talked a bit. hung out with the floor people together a few times. said "hi" when we passed each other by. Just an acquaintance. but this guy messaged me yesterday and said "hey (my name), long time no chat" I said "oh yea. how is your break?" he said "pretty good but taking summer courses right now, you? on vancation rn?" I said "nah I am just working at safeway all the time. just got back from work" HELP ME BASILERS. HOW DO I END THIS CONVO WITHOUT LETTING IT DIE AWKWARDLY? i wish he never messaged me at all. he's a nice dude. but i hate stuff like this.
Why is this song so catchy? you may call it another generic pop song but it must be the synth beat that starts at 22 seconds in. it's ridiculously catchy.
Does anyone else dislike when someone calls them buddy? I get called a "buddy" all the time by my boss or older co-workers. While I'm sure they mean no harm, I find it kind of condescending to be called a buddy. I mean, you wouldn't say "Hey buddy" to your superior or anyone who's older, right? We all know I'm not your buddy. So why call me one? It just sounds patronizing to me. anyone else?
Cumin and smoked paprika spices are amazing Seriously.. They add so much flavour to any dish. Try this simple recipe! diced carrots diced celery diced clove of garlic half can of beans (i use kidney) quarter of boneless chicken breast/ or two thigh pieces small pieces of brocoli any other vegetables you want some frank's red hot rice Cilantro INSTRUCTIONS: dice chicken into small pieces. throw them into hot pan that has cooking oil. sear them quickly for 3 minutes. drizzle some frank's red hot add all the other ingredients. add quater cup of water so it steams the vegetables and make them softer inside the pan. drizzle frank's red hot. leave it on for 10 minutes at med heat. stir every minute. by now, the water should have evaporated. now,
dont you hate when this happens today, I got on the bus to go to school. i sit down. then there's this beautiful girl who comes on the bus. we lock our eyes for several seconds. her beautiful blond hair smells like heaven as she walks past. there's only one girl who smelled gorgeous like her even when I was several feet away. that was my gf when i was in high school. and as she leaves, we lock eyes for a few seconds again as she walks up and smiles at me. I'll never see her again. why is life so cruel
Do you smoke marijuana? Let's have a civilized discussion about marijuana use. Legal Marijuana usage only please. Do you smoke/consume it? I love eating an edible after a long day of work, turning good music on, and closing my eyes while relaxing on my chair. I don't smoke it because it's more messy and I don't like the smell. Plus, inhaling any kind of smoke isn't probably too great for your lung. However, since there have been some studies that indicate using marijuana while your brain has not fully developed (around 25 for males) interferes with brain development, I only use it once a week during the summer. I would rather not risk it. I am really glad that I wasn't exposed to marijuana while I was a teen. How about you?
update on my job search so i went to the warehouse this morning. after 30 minutes of searching for the place, i couldn't find it. there was a sofa store instead of a warehouse. the sofa store had the address posted on craigslist. but when i search the address on google, the warehouse company pops up. but no pictures. very strange. i think that they moved and the hiring manager forgot to change the address on the ad? anyways, so I just left and went to the calamari place. i got there. took freaking 30 minutes after taking the skytrain. it's at the very edge of vancouver. i hate places like these because they just feel so depressing. areas feel dead. people seem unhappy. Here's a pic: +food+vancouver&biw=1920&bih=1019&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ah
Why do people love sunny days? You cant see anything without squinting your eyes. Cloudy overcast days are infinitely better. You get that cool refreshing breeze of air. The brightness outside is perfect. Your car doesn't become a toaster if you leave it outside. And you don't need to worry about sunscreen.
Here is an inspiring quote* just saw on reddit and wanted to share Squidward, "Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow?" Mr Krabs, "Yes but what is 'today' but yesterday's tomorrow?"
isnt this nice i love the voice of choirs like this. sounds so pure and angelic :) and when john lennon comes in... oh god!
