School related memes Quite possibly the most horrifying misuse of memes ever. calculus: explaining integration My teacher does not teach and wastes most of her time stamping homework during class instead of teaching us. Learning out of the book seems to be the only solution since her tests are not based on notes she gives us. That being said, can someone explain integration to me? I'm considering dropping Calc BC not because I might not get an A but because I'm not learning anything. At least in AB I will get a competent teacher who will provide a better understanding.

possible to see recommendation letters? While on college confidential, I always hear people talking about how their recommendation letters are superb or excellent, but I can't find a way to read the ones written for me (they were submitted electronically). So is it possible to actually read rec letters through the common app or are they private matters between the teacher and college admission department?

Is it normal for your mother to pick your pimples? How about your mom? Because it's f-ing annoying me. The doctors have already told her that picking my pimples is bad for my health and that she should stop but she persists and does it anyway. She "sneaks up on me" while I'm doing my homework and "checks" and insists on "JUST ONE!" I have bad acne on my back and today I found that she was picking one while I was sleeping. This is why I have had scarring on my cheeks in middle school.

experiences with donating blood All right, so my school is having a blood drive hosted by Stanford University sometime next month, and I am now eligible to donate blood (age 16, at least 110 pounds, decent health, no tattoos/piercings). I know donating blood is a really good thing to do for other people that are in need and I really want to. The only thing I'm slightly afraid of is the large needle going into my vein. So to anyone that has donated blood before, how was it? Did it hurt a lot? Is anyone here going to donate blood? Share your experiences.
