I need help finding a computer to buy I have a request for anyone know knows a lot about buying computers online, knows where to get the best deals, and can help me find the right computer for my friend. My friend would like to spend no more than $50
Any way to install an OS w/o a disk? My friend's laptop needs a wipe and a new OS, but his his drive broke one day. Is there a way to do it without that disk drive? Or does he have to get it fixed?
Any basilers use Linux? In computer science at school, we get to use computers running Linux and the Ubuntu distribution. Well after hearing a lot about Linux in the past, my view on Linux is that it's really useful, but hard to use, and you really need to know your stuff. So after messing around with Linux for a period, it doesn't seem to be that confusing. But then again, the staff set everything up for us. So my question is, what are the pros and cons of using a Linux? Also, is it a good idea for me to get Linux if my intention is just gaming and school work?
Looking for help to upgrade my computer. I want to upgrade my computer from a crappy integrated GPU, to this.. My problem is, my Power supply unit is around 250W~300W. I'm not sure if that's enough to handle this graphics card. Is it? If not, how many watts should I aim for to run this card and everything else (everything else being 750GB hard drive, 6GB of RAM, and a 2.70Ghz CPU) Thanks in advance.
