How can i stop procrastinating and focus on studying? Hey guys, I almost never post in the chat section but I feel as though this is becoming a serious problem. Since winter break (which last 6 weeks), I haven't really been able to focus on my education. I'm a freshmen in college (2nd semester) and although my first semester gpa was great, i'm doing horrendous this semester. I feel as though the winter break made me lazy. Nowadays, I find myself procrastinating to the max (i was supposed to start studying calc yesterday but i ended up pushing it to tomorrow....). And also, a bigger problem is that when i do actually start studying, I can't find myself focusing for more than 10 min. I always have an urge to check my store on maple, go on you
The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven Author Admits He Lied credibility of a possible heaven -1 growing up in a christian household, i've always considered myself to be a christian. however, as i got older and experienced life a bit more, i began questioning christianity and religion in general. i would personally like to believe that there is a god, but logic and reasoning based on religious debates prevents me from doing so. coming across news like this support the notion that some so called christians are only in it for the money/fame. anyway, how do you guys feel about this/ excuse the lack of capitals and whatnot, my shiftkey/capslock is broken
Learning guitar? Yeah so idk how to play any instruments so i'm kinda motivated to learn the guitar now. Any tips on how I should start out? Also, how long does it take to get "good" at the guitar (or any other instruments in general, and yes, I know it's based on opinion on what "good" is). and what classifies as "good" in your opinion? Just repeating a song cover via guitar? or...
How are you spending your Thanksgiving? Yeah, so due to Thanksgiving being only 3 days away, I see it fit to make this thread. I usually spend thanksgiving just going to a restaurant with my family, but i'm considering changing it up this year. We don't really always get turkey at home, but yeah.
Studying motivation pleaseeee Someone give me something (quotes or videos will do nicely :D). I have to study for bio right now, but it's 1:22 am and im procrastinating. Finals week sucksssssssssss

So i have to go to court tomorrow and serve jury duty...it's in nyc (jamaica to be exact) and i'm just wondering if anyone has had personal experiences (or know people who has served). How to get rid of shyness? Yeah so I was born shy and introverted but I would like to get rid of this and be more "assertive", i suppose. I'm very talkative with the people i know (hence why I have two best friends instead of a large amount) and really comfortable with them. However, I find it hard to talk to new people (although I'm more talkative and stuff since last year due to efforts). Only time i'm not completely shy and comfortable talking to strangers is when i'm drinking or on adderall. quick thread cause i'm actually on addy and procrastinating for my midterm lel
How do i clean my keyboard? Ok so a few hours ago, i spilled orange juice all over my laptop keyboard and i managed to wipe it off. However, a few hours later (right now), i noticed that some keys (specifically on the right side) are really sticky and kinda annoying to press. What can i do to make it un-sticky? I tried using a wet paper towel to wipe it off but it isn't working :/ and yes, it was orange juice, and orange juice only -__-
How can i do better on the SAT's? Aight so im a junior and i took the psat's for the first time and i got a freaking 152. SAT's are coming up and i need at least a 1800. Any ways to significantly improve my score? any study strategies?
i wish i was on adderal all the time hi guys, so im on an adderall high rn and it feels amazing. i mostly wish i was on adderall due to an increased boost in confidence and sociability. i'm introverted and fairly shy, but i've gotten a bit more confident over the years. anyway, when i'm on adderall, i pretty much have 0 social anxiety and i'm a lot more talkative and comfortable in talking to strangers. confidence is my number one problem so yeah. btw, is there a chance of me having adhd/ i;m 20 years old and i do have trouble focusing sometimes, but this is common to many people obviously. i do feel like my symptoms are worse than others, but yeah, just curious on anyone who's been prescribed adderall due to adhd. i remember something abou
How to quit smoking? hi guys, so i have a smoking addiction and i would like to stop once and for all. i first started smoking freshmen year at college and didn't really like it but after a year or so, i got stressed from schoolwork and picked up smoking again to relieve stress. smoking's been good in the fact that i made new friends and talk to more ppl now but it's been putting a strain on my wallet and i definitely want to quit before i graduate college. i smoke probably around half a pack a day and almost a pack when i drink. i bought an e cig, which actually helped with quitting, but i always go back to regular cigs after a week or two regardless of ecigs. anyway. this thread mostly pertains to people who have quit smoking for good, bu
