Arcglaive arcglaive arcglaive. Christ. ^ Adding 3 more mentions of everyone's freaking favorite polearm/Maple smex toy on this forum page. Seriously, it's like everyone is scrambling to find out everything they can about getting the best farking Arcglaive. I'm crying inside. We need a separate forum devoted to fretting over endgame-worthy weapons. Or something like that. Not including this post, I counted 8 mentions of the equip and/or endgame weapon choices on the first page of the Aran forum.

Comprehensive list of Aran changes Hi guys. Been a while. I've been playing League of Legends like it's cocaine laced with money. I don't even care that I said those out of order. Since I haven't seen any threads that do this yet, I'm giving a list of all of the changes between the Legend update and the most recent revamp to hit the official KMS servers. Credit is due to Fiel of Southperry, naturally. Anyway, let me know if I missed anything. Behold: Note: All attacks that Arans use now have the Final Attack factor applied to them. Furthermore, the length of time before a combo expires is now longer. Not sure how long exactly, but it appears to be in the ballpark of 10 seconds. New damage decay formula Okay, the title is kind of a misnomer. The original formula hasn't changed a bit. As most of you hopefully know by now, Arans are getting a few well-appreciated buffs in KMST right about now. One of them is for Cleaving Blows--the damage penalty for mobbing is currently reduced by 50% when Cleaving is maxed, but this update increases that benefit to 75%, meaning that we regain 75% of the damage we lose by mobbing. With that in mind, I have once again done the math to show the effect on Aran mobbing. By the way, anyone can do this (such is the beauty of mathematics): take the parent equation for damage decay before getting Cleaving Attack (0.64/x + 0.36, where x is the number of mobs) and add this to it: + Q * [1-(0.

Easy way to test comparative DPM I'm getting rather annoyed at the number of people clamoring about the difference between FT spamming and OS/OS + FB when it comes to DPM. There's an easy way to prove it, guys. OS + FB (6 hits) will take roughly the same amount of time to finish as it takes to cast FT six times (slightly less, in fact, if I recall correctly). All you have to do is corner a single LHC mob and spam one of them, and then repeat on another mob with the other skill. Assuming both FB and OS are maxed, it's going to take fewer hits when using OS + FB than than when spamming FT. Easy example: All of the related skills are maxed for me. When spamming OS + FB, I take 55 hits on average to kill a Bearwolf. Meanwhile, I take around 65

Yep, another thread about arcglaives. Will this ever end? I got tired of looking for a deal in the FM or a person with an Arcglaive worthy of a trade with my Zedbug (for those of you in Khaini who read this and might have one, it's 133 att/8str/0slots, pot = 30%boss/6%att/8%crit, 4 stars). Now I'm making my own. Problem is...I have 3 out of 500 woods. I have the Taos and power crystals, and Typhon Feathers are a cinch to harvest. My question is this: What's the typical market price to look out for, and is there anyone in Khaini willing to sell any to me? As for the latter feel free to friend me. Edit: Looks like I had to clarify. The price/sale check is on Crimson Wood, not Arcs. I have lots of friends with Arcglaives for sale. Not w

Aran's Restructure update details. With commentary. RESTRUCTURE PART 2 IS NOW OUT. I have added details/changes in the part 2 area, mostly taken from Spadow's blog. I have a summary of the primary changes at the bottom of this TS post. A SERIOUS BIG MUCH HAS CHANGED FROM PART 1, particularly in the mobbing effectiveness department. Discuss. Part ONE of the restructure did not include an SP reset in KMST. Part two, however, did. Essentially, Nexon will be letting us redo our skill builds twice--once at Big Bang, once on the Restructure's release. Check back here for updates/added details/changes or feel free to PM me for questions--as a matter of fact, you may email me at aranquestionscom (not a main email account, spam

About those old arguments Hey guys, been a while since I last posted. Been away from these forums a while. First of all, I'd like to say that I'm really loving the latest Aran buff. With a range of about 65k I can now spam the cap on ice-weak bosses (e.g. Krexel phase 2). Loving it. Second, it's noteworthy that this revamp has rendered a lot of old arguments useless. Most importantly, damage dispersion no longer exists, making us the most powerful mobbers and multi-bossers in the game. It also makes it clear that Final Toss spam is now absolutely inferior to OS + FB spam. I hit max damage on a lone ice-weak boss and I still hit max damage--no deviations--on Zakum arm 3 (the fire/poison one) with the other two adjacent arms in the way. Final

Holy lawd, Cornians. Specifically, Dark Cornians. I graduated from Bains when I hit level 139 and at this time I thought, "I seem to remember a well-populated Cornians map somewhere, and people keep talking about that." I was irritated that fire-based (ice-weak) monsters, though quick to die indeed, were giving me little opportunity to enjoy my damage well due to <meh> mobbing and the low number of hits needed to clear the screen (helps to have 60% str for that ^_^;). So, searching for a bit more elbow grease--and thus entertainment--in my training, I searched and eventually rediscovered the Dragon Tomb II hidden street at the Dragon Forest. Holy hell. The mobbing/spawn rate was unbelievable. The only drawback was the threat

Revival of the Machlear? So I was hunting earlier and discovered that the new Dragonic Machlear has a few special traits. One, it has Fast (5) speed. Two, it gives STR and DEX (but has 2 lower ATK than the original) Three, it has its own recipe. Which is dropped by normal mobs. I'll leave it to you guys to figure out which if that hasn't been made public yet. Tablets have been revamped as of this patch (patch notes say so). Do you guys think these might turn out to be a viable option? EDIT: I mean an option for people who don't poop money. I own a normal Machlear and it's horrid, but I'm looking forward to seeing what might happen in the future with this changeup. Gonna make myself a new Dragonic Machlear later >:3 Oh, and the rec

Horrible Hp problem Is it just me, or have I horribly screwed something up about my Aran? I have ~16k hp at level 182, with a czak as the only %hp addition I have outside of the High Defense 20% addition. I mean, I don't have Decent Hyper Body, but something must be off. I stepped into Madman Ranmaru for the heck of it and discovered that I have less than half of the health I'd need to survive a single magic attack from him--with combo barrier up. This is in dire need of attention, as I sunk a pretty significant amount of account wealth into untradeables to fund this sucker. It wasn't until I came back to Maple after a year away in Japan that I realized how bad this is for me. What's the standard method of increasing one's max HP? EDIT: For

Body Pressure/Monster Rider overlap I've been aware of this for a while, but still don't know if this is an intended aspect of the Monster Rider skill--it never bothered me until I started training at Dark Cornians, where there are long ladders that I used Riding to climb--and had to recast Pressure quickly before my combo ran out. The Monster Rider skill overlaps and thus cancels the effect of Body Pressure, making it impossible to hit monsters with your own touch damage while riding UNLESS you use a Riding skill from Gachapon or the Cash Shop. The wolf riding skill is the one with the problem. Does anyone know if this was intended in the skill design? For that matter, does Power Guard get cancelled by pig riding?

Mobbing damage formula, Chaos update notes included. Figured I should post this. The first set of raw numbers are basically ripped from a thread on SP. If you have questions, you may feel free to PM me or, as I prefer, email: aranquestionscom. By the way, I believe this formula also applies to damage decay when mobbing with Mage attacks like Chain Lightning or Paralyze. I haven’t checked this, however. The following is a list of damage ratios based on the number of monsters in a mob when attacking with a non-combo-dependent attack, now abbreviated as NCDs (e.g. Triple Swing, Rolling Spin, etc.). Numbers are rounded to the nearest hundredth by SI standard. Note: the calculation per monster is actually an inverse function shif
