Advice on handling a 10-year-old brother Yesterday, my 10-year-old brother got in deep trouble. My parents found out he had completely yanked a shelf out of the wall (it was screwed in pretty tight so I have no idea how he did it). Because of this, he has been restricted from computer usage for the rest of the New Zealand school holidays (which is about a week and a half left). Today, my brother and my little sister (13) are staying home alone due to my parents having to work. I don't know if anyone has picked this up yet (chances are, you already have) but has anyone noticed that the idea behind Voldemort taking over the magic world relate to the rein of Hitler on Germany? There are thousands of posters promoting 'Mudbloods' as evil (Like Nazis did with Jewish people) and - if I remember the book correctly - hogwarts teaches something to do with the elimination of muggles. It doesn't take the whole idea of Nazi Germany (E.g. Voldemort rising over influence and strong, convincing speeches, not power) but some aspects of the movie and the book make me think it was re-creating the events that happened during the dreadful time period. I just watched Sucker punch and this is the first movie that my mind can't get wrapped around (This is coming from someone that completely got Inception).
