I think they might remake Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire Gamefreak has confirmed remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire but they have confirmed it in a very sneaky way. Remember the Pokemon anime when Ash was in Hoenn? Do you also remember Max and May, two characters that traveled with Ash. Well just look at this, maX, maY. As you can see Max ends with X and may ends with Y. Which means that Gamefreak had already been planning Pokemon X and Y since Gen 3 on the gameboy. Which also means they knew the 3DS would be made, which means they planned to have Max and May to serve as hints not only towards Pokemon X and Y but also confirm that there will be Gen 3 Remakes during the X and Y era of pokemon.
