God I hate to even consider this As a proud chat section-minded person I really hate to admit this, but right now the general section is the only hope for the survival of Basilmarket, I'm completely serious. Our forum has declined so much. Nowadays every thread seems to be about religion or politics. These chat sectioners appear to be lacking in any knowledge of forum practice, namely high school students on a Maplestory forum don't care about politics or religion, THAT SIMPLE, yet they continue to make thread after thread about politics or religion, making it harder to find a decent thread in this forum.  (I know most of you don't even bother reading his posts, and even those that did probably do automatically assume he's right) i

If we discovered conclusive scientific proof What if, somehow, we scientifically proved the existence a higher deity? Yes I know that is near impossible/highly unlikely but that's not the point. My question is who would believe? Would the atheists, who always demand proof, jump on the theist wagon? Will the theists, who never really needed proof anyway, denounce it as heresy? What if the proof wasn't conclusive, but clearly showed that a higher deity was possible? How many would entertain the idea and how many would reject it? It should be noted that by "higher deity" I am not referring to the Christian God, or any other particular God.

Teacher bullies a student? So something interesting happened at school today. There was a student who posted a facebook status "The awkward moment when (insert teacher's name) assigns more homework than all your other classes combined". Now class today began normally. The teacher announced he was going to do a presentation on social media. His first slide consisted of two bullet points. "People are stupid idiots and do not learn from other people's mistakes" and "People who abuse social media are foolish cowards".
