Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash Figured this show was yet another SAO wannabe. I can't believe I waited till ep 6 to give this show a shot. This is what I wanted SAO to be. The atmosphere, story pacing, and interesting character development of .hack//sign with the fantasy, seriousness, and adventure that you get from SAO's first 3 episodes. I'm loving the slower, more intimate story and financial struggles they are putting forth. Every other game/show they are looking for some sort of grand power but here they just want enough money to eat and buy a new pair of underwear. I really wish they aired the dub sooner than they are (they're 5 ep behind I think?) because the art in this show is way to fricken good to read these damned subtitles. Just ma
Best Gundam Series? Well my first Gundam was Iron Blooded Orphans and I love it. I heard 00 was good and I'm about 8 episodes in and am really liking that too. Just watched ep 1 of Thunderbolt and that was bomb af. I hear there are some amazing Gundams and some others that werent too good. What's the overall consensus of what the good shows are? I've gotten really sick lately and gotta stay home from work and I'm on a Gundam hype atm so I'm looking for some good marathons till I'm back in shape.
Evangelions Big Story figured out? Rewatched the whole series of Evangelion + Rebuilds and I've stumbled upon, from what I see, a BIG discovery for the real story. I'll try to make it short and sweet and easy to follow. The details of the lore of Evangelion may not be quite true at all, such as the lore behind Lilith and Adam, the Lance of Longinus, ect. I think something a little fishy is going on even further behind the scenes than overwrites all of that. Here's my key evidence: -"Neon Genesis Evangelion" is both Latin and Greek for "New Birth Gospel" or "New Generation Gospel". Gospel is a religious term that, in this case, would refer to the death, rebirth, and resurrection of Jesus or to a religious song.
Berserk First Impressions? Episode 1 of the new Berserk series just aired. As excited as I was, I'm not sure how I feel about it. -Visually, it looks like a medieval Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. -The music reminds me of Sword Art Online -The CG fight scenes were kinda hard to follow and (in my opinion) not very well shot at all -I've always watched Berserk in English so hearing the Japanese cast is super weird. Dunno if I can get used to that... -Casca is white in this series? o-0 I dunno guys. I liked it, but it feels so gosh darn weird! What was everyone else's opinion?
Good Shows this Season? The only shows I've found worth watching were Iron Blooded Orphans, Dimension W, Erased, and Ajin (but I'm not gonna continue it until we get better subs lol). Is there anything else that is actually good this season? Phantasy Star Online sucked big time so that was off the table, and everything else looks like generic drama
Evangelion Rebuilds Neon Genesis and End Of was really.... unique. I just finished the Rebuild series 1.0-3.0 (little late, I know) and I gotta say.. what makes people like the rebuilds more? Compared to Neon Genesis the characters, the story, the setting, the everything, it's all so shallow. Is it just cause it's high budget eye candy? Or is it that it's transformed into a more edgy, darker Shounen with giant robots and lots and lots of blood? Sure it's really pretty to look at but the story just keeps escalating into more deus ex machina "all according to the plan" story writing? The new gundam rocks Well I haven't watched gundam since the early ones waaaaaaaaaaay back when, but I heard good things about this new "Iron Blooded Orphans". I gave it a shot cause I was bored. REALLY freakin good! Never was a mecha fan but this show is so good, I actually felt motivated to log on troll-market just to advertise this new show for anyone who hasn't watched it yet. Basically it's a mature and brutal military story of kids vs adults set in a high budget gundam universe. I'd say it's in the top 3 for this season's action shows (and shows in general) going up against One Punch Man and Noragami Aragato. Also I think the OP and ED are godly. Cool anime tattoo ideas? I'm not getting one but there have got to be some cool anime reference tattoo ideas for some out there that are worth sharing. Two that I thought of -Pink Joestar birthmark tattoo on the back of your left shoulder.
