Math Help hope im not going crazy Keep in mind I'm only in 10th grade - an explanation would be great! I think I may be going crazy... "Verify that the diagonals of the square with vertices A(-2,1) B(2,-1) C(0,-5), and D(-4,-3) bisect each other" Alright so I did this.. A --- B | | C --- D Mad= (x1+x2/2 , y1+y2/2) = ((-2)+(-4)/2 , 1+(-3)/2) = (-6/2 , -2/2) = (-3,-1) <- diagonal mid point of line segment AB Mbc= (x1+x2/2 , y1+y2/2) = (2+0/2, (-1)+(-5)/2) = (2/2 , -6/2) = (1,-3) <- diagonal mid point of line segment BC Because the two diagonal midpoint don't match, they do not bisect.. am I correct? The text book (with answers) say it does but I don't understand how.. so if anyone can explain to me that'll be great ! I also ha

math help pls ok ralph works at a bike repair shop, he makes 2$ every time he installs a tire and 5$ every time he installs a gear mechanism. last week he did 40 jobs and earned 110$ total. ok so how do i make this into a linear equation? i need a answer check so far i have let x rep number of tires he installed and y rep number of gears installed x+y = 40 y= -x+40 next is 2x+5y = 110 y= -2/5 + 22 are these correct linear equations for the word problems? and how do i work better on my word problems i always interpret it wrong..

distance from point to line alright im actualyl stumped too :3 "find the distance from point Q(-2,-2) to the line y=3" so the equation is y=3 correct? If the y=3, the slope must be 0, and negative reciprocal of 0 is 0... if I put those points into point y form, I get y+2=0(+2) which just ends up as y+2=0 how can I do system of equations on y=3 (y-3=0) and y+2=0 .. if there is no more variables and 1=0 doesn't make sense.. can someone please explain to me what to do and why? much thanks

Career Fair Alright so I'm working on a career fair project for a career fair day.. unfortunately my science teacher is very strict and the career has to be related to the field of study in Grade 9 science which is biology, chemistry, earth/space science, and physics. But the problem is that I was late to sign up for the easier/simple career jobs and the only one left was "construction inspector". I have no idea HOW that job specifically involves any of the science listed above.. maybe a possibility of physics/earth science but I'm not sure. So can any of you guys give me some insight how a construction inspector involves those fields of science? Much thanks would be appreciated
