USB-mouse keeps disconnecting power issue Hey guys, Since a few weeks, my USB-mouse keeps disconnecting and reconnecting when I'm in my student room (I don't know what it's really called in English, sorry), it doesn't do that when I'm at home or anywhere else. When I pull the plug and it's running on battery, the problem disappears. So I'm pretty sure it's a power issue, but I already tried unmarking the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option of the USB Root Hub, but it keeps disconnecting (and reconnecting). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! :)
Flv converting error Hey guyz, I've got some vids on my pc in flv format (that's the only way I can obtain them) and when I want to convert them only a part of it gets converted. Let's say the full flv video takes 20 minutes, if I convert it to another format it suddenly stops at like 12 minutes. O.o Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Thanks. :) Edit: I let one of the flv files play and it appears it only plays some part of it (the part that gets converted), but my Vlc player indicates that the file is much longer than it actually plays. Wth?
Burning a virtual dvd? Hey guys, I need to burn some recovery stuff on a dvd for my dad, but I don't have any empty dvd's atm, so I was thinking about burning it onto a virtual dvd, but I can't figure out how to do it. Any help please?
Pc randomly rebooting. hey guys, Recently my pc just rebooted out of nowhere. I thought it was just one time, but a few minutes ago it happened again. And I'd rather not lose all my school work I'm working on.. I would give more information, but that's really all it does, just rebooting. It's also pretty cold in my room (last time it happened too), not really freezing, but definitely not room temperature. Maybe that helps? Thanks. :)
Copying windows folder? Hey guys, I was at my aunt's today and her laptop's hard disc was full so I was checking if I couldn't move some stuff to the back-up drive (that's what the second hdd is for, right?). And I noticed that the biggest folder was the windows folder, but I'm aware that there's a lot of important stuff in that folder, so now my question is: [b]Is there a way to copy the windows folder from one hdd to another without making a lot of stuff not work anymore?[/b] If you need any more information, just ask. Keep having to replug router Hey guys, Since a few weeks my internet connection keeps shutting down and there's no way to get it back on other than unplugging an replugging my router. I can't figure out the problem and google also can't really help me. Any thoughts?
Dual booting 7/Xp? (for games) Hey guyz, Some time ago my pc crashed and since I had already lost everything I decided to upgrade from xp to 7. But I found out everything runs perfect, until I start playing games (Like CoD 2 or even 1). Then it lags like hell. I never had this problem with xp, so I'm guessing it's because my pc wasn't really made for 7 (I bought it way before 7 even came out). So I was thinking: Would it be possible to dual boot my 7 with xp (I'm able to switch between xp and 7 then, right?) Would it solve my lag problem if I'd play my games on xp? Is this possible to do without losing all my stuff? Thank you very much Basil. :)
Usb resetting pc? Hey guyz, Some minutes ago, I wanted to put some music on my Mp3, so I put it into my usb port and suddenly my pc resets itself. O.o It kept resetting until I took my Mp3 out. Now everything is fine again, but when I put it back, it just resets.. I had it plugged in yesterday, but nothing like this happened. I tried different ports but they all do the same: resetting my pc. What can I do about it? Btw: It happened some times ago too, but then it just reset once and went back to normal after the reset.
nLite Xp install Cd? Hey guys, I was trying to install windows xp on my pc (to dual boot it later on), but I got an error saying "Setup did not find any hard disk drives". I'm following [url=http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/resolving-setup-did-not-find-any-hard-disk-drives-during-windows-xp-installation/]this[/url] guide until the point where I have to select the drivers. I've got no clue about how and where I can find a driver.. Any help please? Edit: I just checked and apparently I've got a Maxtor 6L200M0 hard drive.
I dropped my USB flash drive And now it doesn't work any more. I know it's my own fault for being stupid, but is there any way I can open it and maybe fix it? It's screwed up anyway, so I probably can't do much wrong.
