who would you rather be in university? the person with a 4.0 GPA but rarely goes out to have fun cause he's trying to get into a top graduate program at an elite school or the person with a 3.4 GPA but is having the time of his/her life and just hoping they will get into any graduate program presuming both people have friends, network, extra-curriculars and all that other good stuff also presuming, to get this person's dream job, they must finish grad school
do your parents play video games? just saw my dad playing league of legends and asked me to play with him. I told him i didn't play, he responded with, and i quote " l o l noob". My friend's dad loves his ps4, plays it multiple hours a day. Besides that, don't know many parents that play video games.
Nfl Sunday any of you watching any games today? going to be watching: - cowboys vs texans - patriots vs bengals
movie recommendations what is a movie you've seen recently (doesn't have to be new, and doesn't have to be in theaters) that you would recommend watching?
do you feel bad for those people that start balding in their late teens or early 20's? hairline way pushed back or even random bald patches. I hate the idea of balding in general but ideally i want to be retired before that starts happening but who knows. or do you just laugh at them/ and think thank god you still have hair
Telling someone to get out of your life Would you be blunt about it? "k, i don't like talking to you anymore, you need to leave me alone" or would you try to be nice about it, if that's even possible I would like to leave things on a good note if possible, rather not have her go crazy and egg my house or something like that. context: you and this person used to be good friends but then you suddenly found her annoying as f and can't deal with her trash anymore
which do you think deserves the harsher punishment get caught on video beating your wife (once). Or being caught by the police multiple times (lets say 3-4) with illegal drugs. You were caught using the drug and obviously being in possession. In terms of cumulative punishment. i.e total time for the domestic violence vs total time for all the drug charges which do you think should have the longer sentence
this reminds me of some of you basilers yeah that's it, just wanted to share lol
Hair trends so i don't really keep up with trends so i don't know if this is happening in other places but in my area, there seems to be a trend of a lot of girls chopping their hair off and going for a shorter hair look. There's also a lot of guys growing out their hair out to shoulder length/do a ponytail/whatever else they do. Also, no, this has nothing to do with sexual orientation, i know some of these people and they're definitely straight. Is this happening in your area? note: not trying to be racist but based off my observations, this does not apply to African Americans, or at least not yet. I mainly see white people doing this, again not trying to be racist just stating my observations. Also, i know this isn't some major issue obvi
have you ever returned an entree at a restaurant before? or an appetizer/dessert. If you have, do you remember why?
is this really that bad of a thing to do? on a scale of 1 - 10 how bad would you consider this? 1 - it's fine 5 - ehhh you shouldn't do that but not that big of a deal 10 - you should have offered like a 50% tip after your meal as an apology my friends and i went out for dinner tonight. We ordered chicken wings & some burgers + drinks. To make things simple: we each got 1 burger and 10 chicken wings. Lets say 1/4 of the burger was burnt and 2/10 chicken wings were burnt. We each ate half of the burger and 8/10 wings that weren't burnt. Then we proceeded to inform the waitress that our food was burnt and requested it be exchanged. To our surprise, they gave us another meal of exactly what we ordered (no extra charge), we just expected a
washroom usage to the people who do their business in the washroom but don't their hands afterwards, you guys/girls disgust me. That being said, when you're in public and you feel the urge to take a #2 but it's not an emergency and you can hold it in a bit, do you go in public or do you rush home? For the sake of discussion, lets say you're near your home (within 30 minutes commute).
Regarding hygiene How often do you shower? how often do you wash your clothes? how often do you cut your finger/toe nails? For those saying "when they're gone", i guess you could answer, how long it takes for your nails to grow until they're "long" how often do you shave (you can specify the area)? i'm a curious fellow
friends are pissing me off Maybe i just didn't see it before or maybe they changed but recently i'm finding some of them annoying as hell. Acting like spoiled brats, whining about the smallest things, and basically just bringing unnecessary drama into my life. They aren't my best friends but they are/were good friends so i'm not sure what to do. Just move on and stop being their friends or confront them and try to work it out? Normally i would try to work things out but i'm not sure i need the extra drama at the moment. I guess i could put this off until i'm in the right mind set to address this but it's just getting worse and worse everyday. What would you do?
Arguing with friends - do you do it? hmm, arguing probably isn't the right word, debating, there we go, that's a better word. Do you discuss issues with your friends that you guys may have clashing opinions over? Or do you try to avoid these kind of conversations because you don't want to anger one another? or do you just not say your true opinion because it's controversial? It typically depends on how close i am with the person and if i know how they'll react to something i say. I typically enjoy discussing things with my friends, different opinions lead to more conversion as well instead of a simple, yeah i agree which is boring. I like to think i have made friends who can handle having different opinions so i don't mind discussing issues
Course selections How did your school do it? High school: you select all the courses you want to take for the next year, submit them online. School uses some program to auto generate your schedule once they have figured out who will be teaching the courses next year. Little to no opportunity to change schedule, unless adding/dropping class for a different class. You have two weeks from the first day of classes. University: School provides list of all courses offered, along with times available + professor teaching each section. You construct your own schedule (with aid of a chart that tells you what courses you are required to take) and can add courses for up to two weeks after the first class. You can drop the course up until one month bef
