Freshman Year Snagged two on-campus jobs lately, one in a Bio Lab and another as a Production Assistant. Hourly pay blows, but I'm just excited to make this transition. Currently a freshman at Uni majoring in Biomedical Engineering/premed: loving my Intro to Protein Engineering and Drug Delivery lab/seminar but slitting my wrists during Calc III and chem. Managed to get all my books for $265, which isn't too bad. Having second thoughts about going to med school and hating the fact that I can't use my AP credits to skip over general chem/bio, but that's life. Got randomly placed on an all-guys floor but it's aight since my neighbors are mad chill and we boys. Roommate's a little sketchy, but whatevs. Getting back into a lifting routine and l

Feels awesome about test Get it back, and its awful This could possible be the most annoying thing I have come across. You walk in nervous for a test, but breeze through it like it's your bread and butter, and feel confident that you got a 90 or above. Then I check my grade, and it's a freaking D+.... How the hell am I supposed to recover from that when tests are over half of over grade? Please share your sob stories and help me get over this. P.S.- class is Honors Pre-calc, and it was on trigonometry (which I previously thought was the easiest thing ever...)

How do I go from volunteer to paid? Title. I'm researching in a neuroscience/molecular bio lab this summer at my university, and will start my second week tomorrow. Right now I'm just an undergrad volunteer in the lab, working under a PhD candidate and helping her out with some rudimentary tasks (washing dishes, preparing buffers, nothing too special). I know the lab has decent funding, as the main prof. just received a gigantic grant from the uni. I've spoken to some other undergrads in the lab and they've briefly mentioned a small "stipend", but ya boi is obviously looking for something more regular to pay for bus and train fares. How long should I wait before asking about getting paid?

A few MMORPG'S/ FPS? So now that Summer's rolling around, and finals are soon to be over, I find that I have a lot more free time on my hands. COD and my DS have become exceedingly boring, and I'm looking for a new game to play. I quit Maplestory last August and don't intend on coming back, so please don't recommend me that. I don't really like the concept of LoL or Atlantica either. I have played: S4 League, Combat Arms, Alliance of Valiant Arms (doesn't work on my computer), Crossfire, Grand Fantasia, Aika Online, Dragonica (if I can get this to work on my computer then I will definitely consider playing it), as well as a few other games. The things I like in a game are: fantasy themed, some difficulty/challenge to it, variety of classes/

Gaminglistening to music headphones Hey everyone. I'm looking for cheap headphones (over the ears and head) to use everyday for gaming/listening to some music. I need them to be preferably around $20. I've been looking at these ones and saw just how ridiculously cheap they are. The reviews don't look too shabby either, and I'm getting both earphoens and headphones for under $20. I was just wondering, does anyone know if these will hold up for a decent amount of time? And how's the sound quality compare to some other pairs? Thanks. Note- I used the regular iPhone earphones for around 2 years before they broke.

Orgo Labs lol - Part 2 it's ya boi again: Lab 2 went swell, had to synthesize acetaminophen from p-aminophenol + acetic anhydride and run a few TLC plates to determine certain unknowns. Took the whole 4 hours but you know, life sucks. Anyway I got sweet white crystals this time, recrystallized everything correctly, got a nice % yield. Everything went well except the end, where I threw out my recrystallized product (lol) BEFORE re-weighing it. hahahahahahha. just made up some data so yolo. someone else broke a beaker today and i just started laughing. Got my lab 1 results back but i was too scared to check 'em till just now. got a 62/100 lol. got home at 11 studied for my stats midterm (not really) then woke up at 6 because we be grindin'. F

Compiling a new music library Yeah so my current library sucks. I'm sick and tired of wasting precious Data every month on Youtube videos and Pandora, and would love some suggestions. No Country, Jazz/Blues, and please no hardcore Dubstep. I've always been a Hip Hop/Rap (Cole, Kanye, Lupe, A$AP, Biggie/Pac) fan, but Pop and Rock (Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Veara, etc) work wonders as well. Lately I've been really into EDM/Club, I'm basically a sucker for anything with a chill and consistent beat. Oh, and I'd prefer whole album recommendations over single songs. Please and thank you :D

How does this thesis sound? So I have to do an essay on the theme of "Resurrection" in A Tale of Two Cities. I need some opinions on my thesis statement, as this is arguably the most important part of any essay. My teacher wants a thesis to fulfill three criteria: 1)It's debatable 2)It provides a roadmap for what your body paragraphs are going to be about and 3)it flows nicely. Thanks in advance! Thesis: "Such is the case in Charles Dicl<en’s novel A Tale of Two Cities, in which three major characters, Alexandre Manette, Charles Darnay, and Sydney Carton, delineate the theme of resurrection through their actions as well as their sayings."

Skinny fat help I'm a 150lb 5'9 male who's skinny fat. I've recently gotten into weightlifting and have been going to gym on/off for about a year and a half now, showing some major improvements (went from ~120lb body weight to 150, hit 205 for reps on deadlift, almost benching plates, etc). However, I have never been able to shed the fat around my stomach area. I used to be a long distance track runner putting up 40-50 miles a week and doing dozens of pushups/crunches every day, but still never lost my layers of belly fat. I suspect my diet, as I used to drink lots of soda/sugary drinks and eat a bunch of crap. I'm Indian as well, which means that by its very nature the food we eat is saturated with oil, sodium, and cholesterol which is nev
