Commissioned art question(s) Yeah, I draw stuff. I'm just wondering how many Basilers would pay real money for drawings of their characters. I don't really draw anime-type-screens, so I don't know whether anyone would be interested (look at the front page, all chibi/anime). If you are curious about what I do then check out a screen I posted and see whether you like that style of drawing. You see, I'm wanting to earn a bit o' cash so I can save up for a new computer (my current one is tiny and 7 years old queue queue). It will also give me confidence that my passion for drawing will get me somewhere. Thanks for your time Basilers!
Deviant Art front page How are people chosen to be on the front page thingy? I've seen heaps of works that should've gone on the F/P but didn't. Do you need a premium membership?
Please check out some of my digital paints I have worked really hard at putting these out on deviantART, but they aren't getting any attention whatsoever. Have a look through all 24 of them (and see my journey to becoming better) I'm not sure what Basil's rules are for advertising (I haven't been on Basil for ages since I'm too busy), but hopefully I don't get suspended. And I'm sorry for seeming like a whiny begging person, but if I can get some watchers off Basil I'd be really happy and I'm willing to take the risk. lol woops forgot to put that in.
My style not appreciated by the big boss? I know I'm going on a rant... But I really don't understand how front-paging is decided! Is it: What Mr Basil thinks basilers would like the most? What Mr Basil himself prefers? How much time and effort went into making the screen? How funny/original the screen is? How many medals/much reputation the screenmaker has? I'm kind of frustrated because I spent ages making a screen, only to find out that it has 0 popularity. I think it's also a bit unfair that people can throw together a screen within a day and it being way more popular stuff others spend much longer on. Call me a little baby who only knows how to QQ, but answer the question: How do you think screens are chosen to be front-paged?
