@eternalmemory: Of course this is assuming that you have all the necessary link skills. And it all depends on what you count as decent potential. I'm assuming that all your gear has at least 10% of your main stat.

Also, if you don't think that a DrK is good for bossing then perhaps you are not using your DrK to the best of its abilities.
@aagorn: Also, your level of wealth does not matter when it comes to training, even if you're relatively weak you have to grind it out at the same place. Only time strength becomes an issue is when you're lvl 200+.

I recommend that you go to armory 2 and train there, mixing that in with max DIPQ runs and daily horn tail runs.

The Free Market looks "dead" because Owls of Minerva have become an easy way for people to find what they are looking for, thus eliminating the need for one to spam in the lobby.
500k range is the minimum to be able to fight most of the essential bosses. Of course, the bosses you won't be able to do are hard magnus, hard/hell gollux, lotus, Chaos Root abyss. The rest should be fine though

To obtain that range all you need is a decent chaos root abyss set (pretty cheap in the FM) and some basic gollux gear. For the CRA all you need to do is 70% trace it and get some decent pot. The gollux gear should be scrolled with basic gollux scrolls.

Arans at the moment are definitely not the strongest class in the game. However, soon they will be getting a revamp that will make them even better. You can watch these improvements on youtube.

I was summoned by your cry for help. For funds, I believe this is the most straightforward method to earning money

The main way that people make money in the game nowadays is this one thing called elite hunting. Go to silent swamp, the map directly to the right of sleepywood. What you're essentially going to do is find a channel that is defined as "dark" , meaning that if you kill one of the elite mobs that spawn, a message appears saying that "You feel something dark in the energy...". So go around, asking people is a map is dark, or just find a map that has a bunch of high-leveled people sitting around and doing nothing. Once the boss spawns kill it and pick up the purple box that drops. Inside the box are various items that you can sell for some mesos, but the ones you want to try to obtain are Protection Scrolls, Clean Slate SCrolls 10%, and cubes. Although the cubes are not tradeable, you can sell cube service.

Some other tips for when you elite hunt:
- don't be rude. the attackers in the map are trying to train and are doing you a favor by spawning the boss for you.
- Turn remote effect off when you go in there, a bunch of high-leveled people spamming their ultimates will not be good for your computer
- Try joining an elite hunting party or find a guild/alliance that elite hunts often that way you will know where certain dark channels are and there isn't as much work that you have to do.
- don't kill steal (VERY IMPORTANT)
- if you're a high lvler with summons like Phoenix, please make sure it's OFF while others are training
- if you're in lvl range and want to train on a platform, introduce yourself and always ask
- if the map owner wants to solo the map, respect their decision and wait on the sidelines
- for high lvlers: sit on the sidelines and don't block the battlefield with chairs
- it's annoying to get asked whether a map is dark all the time, and weaker maplers may lose a lot of HP if they stop to reply; just be patient and wait for the message to check if a map is grim or dark
- ALWAYS ASK before even thinking about killing the Elite Monsters/Mobs (the large version of normal monsters); only kill it if the summoner asks for help or agrees to let you kill it
As for whether you should continue to play your DrK, I suggest that you only continue to play it if you like it compared to the newer classes. As @stoker has stated, DrK are generally good at bossing and are pretty strong unfunded.
