Yeaa they closed down loads of areas to revamp them. So far in the year since RED hit, they've only revamped Mushroom Kingdom. Give them 10-15 years and it'll be finished.
It'll be back one day, but it's not even back in KMS yet as opposed to the Mushroom Kingdom which is back.
For now, but it shall return someday!
