Money making the alternate way

Is there any way to make mesos apart from getting NX and merching?
The alternatives are killing specific monsters which drop valuable items.
A friend already suggested the big spiders familiar card so that's one.
Does anybody know what monsters I can kill for valuable drops?
and does anybody know any other method?
I am aiming for 750m.
I'm not sure how new you are to the game's content as a whole, so I'm going to address everything I can think of. Pardon me if I cover something rudimentary.

If possible, get enough NX together for a pet to loot with, which should be around 12k for the pet, item, and meso collecting things. Not a necessity if you can't afford that, but it would make things much easier for you. You can still do most of my suggestions without any NX, it will just take much longer.

One of the fastest ways to make money is to farm a major event. Usually this involves picking up thousands of misc. drops while killing (hence the pet mentioned above) which you exchange for coins to spend in the event's shop. Check out OrangeMushroom to see what KMS got during the RED update and plan out how to take advantage of that when it comes to us, assuming largely similar content availability. The spider familiar your friend suggested would pay off here, as higher drop rate means more stuff, which leads to faster profit. Usually you'll want to aim for scrolls or other gear-enhancing items, either to use for yourself or on equipment to then sell. Again, if minimal NX expenditure is possible, a basic shop permit (1800 NX) would do wonders here.

In the meantime, loot and NPC your ass off. Equips and weapons seem small, but they add up over time. Take advantage of the monster parks when you get to the appropriate level ranges to score some decent equips to use. MPExtreme, for example, gives class specific pieces of the lvl 60 set that make it easy to accumulate a bit of % stat, which will be plenty good enough to get you to 4th job when funding begins to matter. This will help you both save money from free equipment as well as raise your damage, making killing at large easier.

Lastly, use New Leaf City's %-based potions once your HP and MP get higher, as they're much cheaper than the alternatives. Conservation is key to building your nest egg.

Unfortunately this about covers your alternatives to traditional merching. Anything that drops "valuable items" consistently is generally high-leveled and difficult to kill, which obviously isn't an option as you're just starting out. Have patience and take advantage of every event you can profit from, and you'll get there. Hopefully at least some of this will prove useful to you, best of luck!
first off, thanks for taking the time to reply!
and regarding NX, I MAY be able to get some when I turn 18 in June, not anytime before that (cons of being in India).
and yes now my primary aim is to take advantage of any ongoing events!

take advantage of events.
a new season of attendance event starts on thursday. make new accounts and kill 300 monsters a day. it takes about 5 minutes per character and you get a unique pot scroll at the end of the 14 days. this is by far the best profit to time ratio at the moment.
Any suggestions on what to pickat ardent?
Half earrings are most profittable though the demand for them has gone down. Other choices are Tenacious belts and sneakers.
iirc the quest you get starts at 140, and you have to do the ghost ship quests from Ralph the wanderer ( old man in boat quay town in singapore)
From the ghost ship quests you get a lantern from the last boss, and then that lantern is needed to find 'Krexel'
following the route of Boat quay town to left < until you find ULU CITY , and then theres a fat guy with some truck named commander jim who will give you a quest to kill krexel for 7.5m and a item every 24 hours ( Do note that you have to do prequests first like killing mobs around ulu city, they start at around level 160 and might be too hard for 140, recommended to start at 160 with decent fundings as the boss Krexel has huge amounts of hp)
Krexel also has a few skills that can be deadly and high hitting aswell as Seal and super Def/Mdef, each eye gives 11m exp so it is quite good exp.
me needing 750m is to get me started, I cannot get to level 160 before funds.
So it is safe to rule out krexel, could you suggest anything else?
