Everyone praises the paladin defense, yet I feel it to be the same as a lot of classes. I must be doing something wrong LOL.

Just doesn't show the raise, but it's there apparently.

I believe it was quite a while ago, maybe the job advancement level revamp patch? Not sure but it's been a while
U are doing something really wrong, like not using a shield or not using a rosary if you are a 2H weapon user, u are 95% of the time with divine shield on, you have shield mastery(use a shield or rosary to get 250%+ defense), u can surpass the defense cap(it only shows 9999 but ur defense is higher), achilles reduces the damage u take, the charges and divine shield give you % reduction agaisnt attacks(even hp% based attacks) and even if all that fails you have god mode(sacrosanctity)

I thought Guardian was removed post-RED?
Do you have divine shield active most of the time?

is achilles still 15% ignore? what's guardian?
I've had no trouble surviving hard gollux on my pally, just use HP recovery instead of pots if you get hit and you can stay at full HP the whole time.
Yea, you're doing something wrong. I can survive RA boss attacks However, surviving is not godmode. You need to pot after the hit in bosses. Basically other classes:
1 hit from boss = dead
Paladin gets 1 hit from boss = Uses an pot or self heal skill and everything's good.
Crap only get real when it's Hard Gollux/Normal Magnus/Hard Hilla. Do-able. But very hard to survive. Idk, about soloing hard hilla, but normal magnus should be solo-able and hard gollux too.
1. Get a pet with auto hp
2. Afk at c vellum
3. ?
4. Profit

You must be doing something wrong, every other class in the game is too squishy.
