@sorlilly: iirc the cut margin for cooldown reduction from that potential can only be down to 5 seconds. Since F/P Mage can already reach that limit by itself with Hyper Skill, that potential would be useless.

@etherealreaper: use the toggle skills that have tele damage and the aura that auto attacks. Then hit paralyze after each teleport for damage and mobility. Also you can have ifrit summon. Use meteor when finished cooldowns. I feel that mist just takes too long to cast so I don't bother with it.

What's the rotation look like for mobbing?

Maybe I'm wrong but would there be nothing happened if you have that potential on hat -5 second cooldown ?

@chaosh: Slime Virus is a DoT that's counted, but 60s cooldown so

@buuur: Right now and in terms of bossing, yes. After a another round of nerfs, they may not be the best mage anymore (LF> Calculations or DPM charts of any sort), but should still remain fairly good overall. And honestly, given F/P mages don't excel at anything other than bossing, it's only fair that they are awesome at it.

Are FP mages still one of the better classes after the nerf?

You want to keep 5 different DoT skills active at all times. So, Flame Haze, Poison Mist (from the Flame Haze), Teleport Mastery, Paralyze then I'm not entirely sure if Slime Virus actually counts as a DoT or you do actually have to use Poison Breath.

Anyways, yeah, it's pretty much Flame Haze + Mist Eruption -> Paralyze + teleport spam -> use either Slime Virus/Oz's Flame Gear/Posion breath every few seconds to keep the fifth DoT running
