How does the buddy list system work?
I noticed that when you add someone, you get all their characters in the same world and each friend has a name on it. Is that there account username?

Above the memo entry is the textbox of the name. You can change it there

You mean the Login Name..? The one you put when you log into the game..?
No... the game never tells you someone's login name.
The characters are just listed by their IGNs.
You basically are friends with all their characters on a certain world,
and you can add a nickname for them so you won't forget who they are.
It's their IGN.
