Question about marvel

I hear some people say that there are only a certain amount of items given out from marvel. I.e., throughout the entire event, there are 200 tyrant Altair cloaks given out or something. Is this how it works? Or is it just completely random? I'm asking because I was considering doing a marvel run for fun, but if I have a lower chance to get good items tomorrow than yesterday (due to a limited amount of items being won), I think I'll wait for the next time it comes out.

Ah, sorry if the way I'm wording it is confusing >< if anyone knows what I mean and could reword it in a better way for me, that'd be awesome!

I think once a code's quantity reaches a certain low, they restock it to a certain amount. I guess thats why theres groups people who tend to get a lucky streak of 3 or more tyrants, while some people, typically near the end of Marvel who don't get anything notable. The codes and the message timers have been confirmed by Girasol before she left, but the rates and number of codes after the initial amount and how it handles it is up to interpretation. Another thing to note about Marvel is that its completely server sided; meaning that your results are already determined before the whole Marvel animation plays out (this means that if your one slot rolls juuuuust over an LGR or a Tyrant, it was already determined as soon as you clicked spin.) This is to draw in more people to play marvel as its a very popular gambling technique that casinos use, since it gives the gambler the thought that they were just unlucky and if they try again, they might get it.

Thanks for not dismissing it immediately. At the moment, I'm trying to search up the exact thread on Southperry where she mentioned how it worked before she got fired. I beleive its been deleted since then, however, I did find some other threads that you might find interesting on how Marvel functions:

If I can find her quote, Ill be sure to link it to ya.

Edit: While I couldn't find the exact link since apparently I think Nexon wanted it removed, this thread here also discusses how Girasol revealed that theres an actualy amount of codes: http://archive.foolz.us/vg/thread/44681890/ (Yeah, not the finest place I could find, but its something I guess)
Pretty much, before Girasol left/was fired from Nexon, she spilled the beans on how Marvel actually works.

Marvel initially has a lot of codes for the different prizes, each one being finite. This includes 5 star aees, tyrants, etc. The reason why you see so many people getting a lot of good stuff at the initial time is because theres plenty of codes. However, once the initial supply starts to dwindle, the rates of which you get the prizes starts to drop due to there being less codes. So you still have a chance to get tyrants and stuff, but it will be less than if you started as soon as Marvel got re-released. Plus the automated messages are timed. Thats why you don't see a bunch of them being spammed in the beginning. While those people actually got the equip, its timed so that its spread out every 30 minutes or so, as to draw in more potential customers and to not spam maplers. I hope that clears this up.
Thanks for the detailed response. It's not that I think you're trolling or anything, it'd just hard to believe, well...anything, since this is a luck based thing. If you have a pinky? Or if other people confirm your story that would be awesome. But as it stands now, I guess I'll just wait. Saves me 50 bucks I guess
