i don't mean the max level... i mean the level itself. So, say you have FC (max level 10, current level 10). You use the book, and it should become max level 30, current level 10, right? But the thing is, i heard that it just jumps straight to max level 30, current level 30 (as if you just put in another 20 SP). I kinda doubt this is true, but it would be great if a 4th job DB verified this for me XD

Yeah, I think the skillbooks jump it all the way to 30, cause I've never seen any Final Cut or Chains of Hell 30's out there.

wrong, sadly...
After Big Bang, all SKILLbooks will be removed. Only 4th job classes need SKILLbooks, even DBs and Evans. Skillbooks are the ones you need to get the skill (i.e. Triple Throw 10), while mastery books are the ones that you need to get them to a high level (i.e. Thorns 30, Slash Storm 20, etc.)
We still need all the mastery books and nx mastery books, but we don't have to pay for skillbooks now. =D

EDIT: And kind of off-topic, but is it true that when you use CoH30 and FC30, the skills instantly jump from level 10 to level 30, right when you use the book? Cause that's what i've heard... help from a 4th job DB would be appreciated XD
