Where there is ego and perfection, there will always be a market for it, and the market is good.

I go by this rule of thumb, if it's short and a real word or words, then it has some value. Of course, some character names have more value than others, character names that appeal to a wider range of people will obvious be worth more. Since I sell and give away character names on a regular basis, I'd estimate its value to be between 4-5b. A lot of people may disagree with that price, but you have to realize that popular one-word character names can sell for way more than that and not just for in-game currency, but for real world currencies.

But yeah, if you're looking for character name price checks, BasilMarket isn't really the place to be asking, as you're bound to get trolls in the mix. Best thing to do is find out who is willing to buy it and take offers on the go. When all buyers have been capped, take the highest offer, if it's reasonable.

The fact that there's a "market" for IGNs annoys me.

Probably not worth much, if anything. Normally if people are looking to purchase an ign they go for one-word names spelled properly.

Probably will get stolen by a hacker if you attempt to transfer the IGN anytime soon. They love to make IGN bots. And posting IGNs to be sold or etc publicly is easy info for them. All IGNs depend on the buyers preference or tastes in regard to pricing but usually they're 3$ (meh ign) all the way up to 400$ (4 letter or 5 letterm pro word).
