This patch sucks

Mobbing is like twice as hard and annoying. Could you have at least put on the second update so that our mobbing wouldn't suck?

The problem is, next patch they are taking away the ability to use spikes mid air.

praying that the second part of the patch comes soon
new spikes is so AWKWARD I don't mind the cooldown but I hate the weird jump it's terrible
it feels like I traded all my horizontal mobility for vertical mobility pls thats what updraft is for

Although it sucks that we no longer have spikes royal spawn I enjoy being forced to be more engaged when I mob, its why I picked this class in the first place

Not sure why the complaints are here. Mobbing is actually not that bad. Usually at say Warrior grounds, Lightning Dash, Rising Rush, Moonsault and flip your char midair to spikes, and repeat. If you screw up a combo so that your spikes are on cooldown, your hyper skill is still there to back it up.

That's how im training now at Gollum's, spikes, then jump and double tornado, why did they make it so we couldn't link the 3 in a macro argggggggggggggggggggggggg
I have to admit, it takes way more co ordination now to be a Merc.

Doing the starforce quests suk now with Ishtar.

I tried some of the combos mentioned and while farming boxes in DiPQ, these were my results.

Pre-patch: Spikes -> Double tornado + occasional enreal (spamming spikes d/cs me): ~7 min
Post-patch: ~10 min

I almost completely forgot that when trying the high jump combo, this patch didn't expand the range of all attacks yet, so it's pretty much useless for stationary mobbing unless you want to get above platforms. >.<

Can't even do double tornado now after spikes. >.<

After messing around in the warrior grounds a bit and adjusting to a new play style, mercs actually require skill to play now. I like it. If they weren't already, mercs are now the most enjoyable class to play.
If you haven't tried it yet, go to warrior grounds and try this combo: Rush>Barrage>Dive>UniKORN>Lightning>repeat.
Or if you want to jump really high: Rush>Barrage>Moonsault>Spikes>Tornado
If you want to attract that significant other, you can do either one. Next thing you know, they faint from your overwhelming coolness. And after they wake up, they will ask to marry. (confirmed)

Gotta say, im not happy with it at all. Training just got a lot harder, however still experimenting, its like having to reset all your keys to make it mobbable.

Spike Royal is a little weird now, you don't go as high and it's a little.... it's not smooth movement.

To gain height, jump and use it at the top of the jump. I noticed that earlier.

Yea, it doesn't inherit your horizontal momentum anymore which feels awkward for now. However it's great for Cosmos Knockout

I'm use to the cd, never spammed spikes o-o; all i did was combos all the time, even though i was called a noob.

Spikes feels so weird and I have to get used to linking all the skills. I just feel nerfed right now LOL. Blah. Can't wait for the next patch to fix some stuff.

I don't understand this. Some people are even leaving their Mercedes cause of the CD on Spikes. Honestly I mained this job some days ago cause I was bored of jobs which just spamm one button all the time and done. I think now we're better, we just have to do combos, and don't be so lazy as the rest of the jobs.
I really like how we can link Lightning Edge, now it's easier to avoid bosses attacks.

This, especially when I see people spamming skills that do more damage and more lines than me ._.
Heck, I find it annoying how we have to wait for our sprites to fall to the ground before using it again.

I was looking forward to the combo thing but I was expecting for nexon to put in all the updates, not just half bake it. had a few combos in mind. But that relied on rising rush not rushing and enreal having it's cd reduced.

it feels really weird not spamming spikes, but i think this patch forces us to use all our skills
which i think is a good thing because mercedes is the combo queen
there is another patch coming up where we will be able to combo faster and our original ignis roar will come back
I wouldn't say they made us "worse"
