Reboot Sweetwater Transposing

I found a sweetwater staff. Will transposing my 11star 150japanese staff be the same as transfer hammer in reboot. It's epic potential so the pot doesn't really matter.

Actually there is a difference between transfer hammer and transposing.

Transfer hammer reapplies the stars to the item. Transposing applies the stats from the stars to the item.

Typically, 10 stars on a SW is worth more than 10 stars from Japanese. On some weapons 10 stars on SW is worth more than 11 stars on Japanese. If this is the case, then transfer hammer is better.

@billy61:
Oh right.
I suppose not. Use transfer hammer then, since transposing is like a 2% success rate.

@littletlk: So in Reboot it doesn't matter what i do since there are no scrolls?

No.
Transfer hammer and transposing are opposites.
Transfer hammer uses the scrolling on the new item, keeping the potential the same (but dropping it to epic) from the old item, and dropping the stars by 1.
Transposing uses the scrolling on the old item, rerolling the potential from the old item, but keeping the tier, and dropping the stars by 1.

Long and short of it: if you scrolled your japanese staff well, then use transposing. if you are scrolling the new sweetwater staff, then use transfer hammer.
