In 3rd job what don't you max, people say Punch Launcher instead of Heavy Salvo, but in 4th job you get a Heavy Salvo Plus, so won't that replace the 3rd job one?
Won't Heavy Salvo Plus replace Heavy Salvo? I just want to know why people are saying to not maxing Punch Launcher. They say it's because they don't use it, but won't you be not using Heavy Salvo
as well once you get Heavy Salvo Plus?

well my point was it doesn't matter. You won't use either of them from fourth job anyways. If you do use it, its your personal taste. but its probably more inefficient than not using it, so yea. Maxing either wouldn't matter at the end.
Yea my logic is with @battleox288 since i have fourth job now, i'd rather max Punch Launcher
Since you don't need Heavy Salvo maxed for Heavy Salvo Plus, I'd max punch launcher. Yeah, you won't use either of them much, but with one skill getting completely replaced, I'd go with the other. If you plan on playing your mech long term, I'd go rocket launcher. If only to get it to a certain level, then just max Heavy Salvo for the little extra damage you get from it
I've played Mech quite a while. And to be honest, i never use punch launcher. Even more so once you get 4th job. I never trained at 3rd job post-revamp so i have no preference between punch launcher and salvo, but looking at the numbers, I probably still won't use punch launcher. You may choose to use it at 4th job, but i wouldn't. Neither most other mechs. So i'd say just max salvo instead of punch launcher
