Golden Hammers and Clean Slates
If you clean slate a failed golden hammer, do you get a slot for it? For example, a dagger has eight slots. A golden hammer is used, but it fails. After clean slating the failed slot, does the dagger have eight or nine slots in the end? Do I have to use another golden hammer?

Nine slots. When you fail a golden hammer, its like you passed it and then failed a random scroll.
You will get the slot once you Clean Slate the Hammered slot.
In your scenario, the dagger will have 9 slots.
It would have nine slots, you simply clean slated the failed slot.
