Tech help and suggestions for nx cash?

Sawp guys.

So, I've been trying to update MS on my laptop, but it kept giving me a "Map.wz is corrupted" error, so I tried re-downloading and trying the manual patcher to no avail. [url=http://maplestory.nexon.net/news/news/current/00IIJ]I visited this older link from the beginning of this year[/url] though it probably wouldn't have worked either since it was for problems with an older update.

The patcher updated my game fine on my desktop though. Oh, not the one in link, just the regular patcher, I mean.

Also, it seems that I've gotten free in-game currency(seriously? I can't say free------------nx?anyway, i got 20k) for being from the game for quite some time? Or did anyone else get this from a recent event or something?

Anyway, I'd like suggestions on what to spend it on. Like, something to increase my funds with. Gach? Premium boxes? Or should I spend it on cubes to try to get my equips up to speed? I think a lot of my equips are outdated though, especially since I see how cheap fafnir weps cost and other stuff are.

Oh right, and like I said in previous thread, I've been gone for at least two years or so, so I have no idea if there's any other type of cubes available and what they do.

One more thing if I can, is there no new way to transfer link skills? Do I still have to log in like 20 times just to transfer it over to a character? I tried the link manager though it seems it has no real purpose other than to clean up your skill tab so it won't be so cluttered
