Is the familiar thing for sure a glitch?
Might be a dumb question but I need to be 100% sure familiars are coming back before I level an Aran to 150 in preparation for farming wolf underlings.

As @lemasnatorme said, Wolf Underling does not drop its familiar. It is only available via events such as Marvel and maybe Booster Packs. [url=http://maplestory.nexon.net/community#%2Fshowthread.php%3F1492928]Artasi's confirmation.[/url]
Yes. You still have the Crusader Codex in your inventory, you can skill access the Monster Book and you can still get non-KMS familiares. What happened is that, when updating the monsters drop tables, Nexon didn't add the monster cards back, they simply copy-pasted the monsters from KMS.

No, you cannot get Wolf Underlings from the Aran area.
