I've played both extensively and WA are far superior mobbers.

Not really anymore. Arrowspread allows me to hit multiple targets for 7-digit numbers. Five times. Per monster.
Mobbing I have a little trouble with WA. Sentinel arrow just keeps you still and you are weak anyway your hp drops fast. Feel like fairy spiral is still the way to go.
But not that before 4th job it matters. Just a bit annoying I guess.
from experience emerald flower helps a ton with controlling the flying mobs and spiraling vortex works wonders when soloing dipq
WAs are better for mobbing. As for mobility, about the same. WAs have Elemental Shift and Wind Walk, and BMs have Double Jump and Steig Eisen.
BM for DIPQ.
BM's mobbing attack hits more mobs than WA so if you're funded you can get more kills per attack (If you OHKO them).
BM's also have Mortal Blow which helps a lot for unfunded players that can't kill too fast.
WA's have Flower which really helps lure mobs into a spot and works especially well on the stage with flying mobs.
WA's Spiral Vortex can push back enemies which is handy but can also backfire so you have to be facing the correct direction when using it.
They're both good but BM's have the slight upper hand when it comes to DIPQ.
EDIT: I forgot that BM's also have Turret which is helpful.

I think marksman have better mobbing in dipq
