Bw vs Shade in terms of fun
Which one do you enjoy playing more? I just made a blaze wizard and its level 40 and its so-so but im assuming it gets better later. Haven't tried shade yet.
I hear blaze wizards are getting nerfed hard tho

I have a 151 BW and a 184 Shade. Shade got super boring and I wish I loved her because all my good NX and equips and item slots are on her but I'm so bored by that class that I couldn't play it anymore. Blaze wizard has a delay after casting orbital flame which really made me not want to play it. If It ever got fixed I'd possibly go back to it but overall both of those classes are boring but BW is less boring really.
If these are the ones you narrowed it down to on terms of fun to yourself, try leveling both classes up to a high level and see how you like them. We can't answer for you because I know some people who love BW/Shade meanwhile I and some others just can't play it past a certain point.
I find both classes boring.
While Shade gets a "new skill" every job, it's pretty much the same as the previous one with a bit more range and damage (AND A DIFFERENT COLOR! YAY!).
Just hit that button and watch their hp drops.
BW feels a bit unpolished and buggy, not to mention that his main skill stays the same through all 4 jobs.
There's a weird delay after shooting a few fireballs and it's just BLERGHH.
Also, he gets no teleport, WTF? HE'S A MAGE!
Based on my experience on lv 147 Shade and lv 73 BW.
I found BW to be really boring overall. Tossing the balls back and forth as the main mobbing and dps skill for all 4 jobs isn't my idea of fun. The balls themselves have this delay to them after the max number is shot and aren't really the greatest looking things tbh. I feel like they could have done a lot better with this revamp but ended up rushing it.
Shade on the other hand was really neat with it's beautiful skill animations and fluid gameplay. You really feel like you're in control when playing Shade. Many people say it's boring due to how slow it attacks but I never got tired of mine. 100% passive stance and a 1%hp/mp drain right off the bat along with the Blade Imp skills and Backstep make for a very fun and unique experience. Bossing is a lot of fun as well. Definitely worth a try.

I would go BW if you want fun but for damage I'll go for Shade...
