Range should be the same since they pretty much only use Meditate. F/P does a lot more damage than I/L with equal funding. F/P is personally more fun due to having to set up DoTs instead of spamming CL
F/Ps and I/Ls are the same class so the range increase will be equal. They've got their ups and downs in terms of fun.
F/p in terms of High DPS, Fund efficiency and fun imo. Only time when i/l were better then f/p in these terms was when frozen orb was glitched.
