Avast quotJust dodged a bulletquot

I usually watch episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on "putlocker.com" linked through "tv-links.eu" and avast is always giving me some pop-up avast notification saying:

avast! saved your computer from crashing

You just dodged a bullet

You may be wondering how you ended up with a virus, especially if you were visiting a 'normal' site. The latest research from the avast! Virus Lab shows that more than 80% of malware (viruses, spyware, and the like) spreads through legitimate websites, with only 1% coming from suspicious or 'dodgy' sites.
Good thing avast! had your back.

This is probably just some fake alert to get me to buy upgrade protection but I just wanted to make sure, also scanned my computer and found nothing..any ideas?

No, it's not a fake alert, it was sent to you because something in the website was sketchy and avast had found reasonable amount of information to find it malware. Did you customize the heuristics sensitivity to high (max)?
Usually if you do that it makes false positives more plausible.

I suggest getting AdBlocker for your browser to stop the ad malware, maybe that will stop Avast! from showing those alerts.

I don't use Avast! myself, so I've never seen messages like that.
But apparently it's telling you it's blocking popups from that site that may lead to other sites with malware on them.
Avast! can't tell for sure anything at those links is "evil", but it's the kind of behavior used to trick people into clicking on things that will get them into trouble.

As long as your anti-virus is set to automatically update itself every day, scanning with it should tell you if there's anything to worry about.
You might also want to get "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" (the free version), which can help by scanning for spyware like keyloggers and trojans. Make sure you update Malwarebytes every time before scanning with it (the free version doesn't do that automatically), and scan with it after you scan with Avast! to be sure your computer is clean.
