@NigNogJigJog: you might be right, I've heard from other people that they are able to solo grosso with 50k range. Might be dependent on the job (zero can easily do it with 50k).
Leviathan 2 is also easier than leviathan 1 because you get more time. For me, the timer is down by half when I kill Levi 1. It's only down by 1/4th when I kill super levi. Red grosso is down by about an 8th, and green grosso dies in like 3 seconds.
EDIT: if you can kill the first leviathan, you should be able to kill everything. Unless you're a non paladin squishy class, and you just end up dying.

Grosso v2 is easier than both of the Livyathans because you get more time and its hitbox isn't as glitchy.

Yea that's about right. My Paladin (while hellbanned so I couldn't put on any good equips at the time) got Levyatin down to 30-40%, yet I was able to kill Red Grosso with about 1/5 of the timer left with the same funds. Also I think Threaten does work on Grosso, but you just can't see the indicator because it's behind the flag? Not entirely sure though, will try again tomorrow to be sure.
Green Grosso: 1m Damage per second
Red Grosso: 8m Damage per second
Lavyatin: 18m Damage per second
Super Lavyatin: ?
I had a 150k range, and 80% boss and didn't have time to solo with an aran.. probably due to the class's low ability to boss though
Blue gyrados is correct lol
Killing Green Grosso: 50k range necessary
Killing Livyathan: 150k range + 100% boss, or 200k + 50% boss, depending on your dps output and class
Killing Red Grosso: 100k range + 70% boss
well i'm a Drk with 90-120k range and I solo commerci pretty easy till Rose. I cant kill the blue gyrados thing.
