I need a Laptop Laptop To bring me back to life

oh yes, the title is a spinoff on "I need a doctor" (the song, u know? )
okay enough with the lame jokes, I'm 17 years old and i'm getting money to FINALLY buy my own laptop! i'm excited AS HELL for this since i've been sharing one computer with my 12 other family members pretty much my whole life, so this is pretty huge for me

Now I wanted to know what laptop to get and which type/brand/whatever, since i'm pretty 100% oblivious with those things, i will list down what i'm gonna be using it for and what i want in it:

I will be using it for ~>> School work, Facebook & youtube, Video games (maple, Skyrim, Warcraft, and so on), watching movies... pretty much the whole package.
I want it to be something that I will have for a long long time, like, i don't wanna be outdated in a year or two, it would probably stick with me 3+ years! :S
I also want it to be pretty mobile, like, light to handle and stuff since I'll be carrying it around everywhere and stuff.

and i was wondering if i should get a macbook pro or a Normal laptop?

as i said, i'm pretty oblivious with this whole thing so please, Please enlighten me!
Oh, you can't buy it online? They generally are more options if you were to buy it online with better options. When you go to look for the Samsung Series 7, make sure it's that specific model with the the 6750m graphic card and the i7 processor.

If you have a CompUSA or Tigerdirect near your house, they sell it: http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1159307&CatId=4938
@qwan456: & @ShiroNoYami: Thank you guys so awfully much! I'm gonna show my dad that laptop in the morning and see where I can locally buy one, are they that rare to come by?
*again, oblivious about the whole thing*

That Samsung with the 6750m should be able to run it on med-high settings on it native resolution. It is the weakest option but is the most light-weighted laptop out of the ones recommended here - 5.05lb.

How lightweight do you need it? These few 15" laptops are probably your best option in the $1000-$1500 price range but weighs 6.5-8lbs.
Clevo P151HM1 or P150HM
ASUS G53SX
MSI GT683/GX or MSI 16F2

If you need it to be lighter (just under 6lbs), you will need to settle for cheaper/weaker options such as the Clevo W150HR or HP Pavilion dv6tqe with the HD 7690M.
I would recommend a MacBook only if you wish to spend a small fortune on the tacky white brushed metal finish, or if you are only able to operate computers designed for small children. Windows will be your only option for gaming, but before any recommendations can be made you will need to specify a price range.
I can say I would have up to $1500, is that enough for a good/decent one?
(I ruled out a macbook due to your advice, Thanks!)
