Okay guys, hi

So a while back I noticed that my account had been banned for billing. Essentially, this meant that I was unable to buy NX online. Only game cards would be a viable choice to get NX. This is troublesome, especially since in my current situation, going out to a store is a major pain in the rear. The thing is, I am a very legit player. I have never once used a hack or even been a part of one. So even now, after things are "settled" I am still confused.

I submitted a ticket a long time ago, very long ago, it was never answered. The ticket was as follows:

Hello, thank you for taking time to read this. I have just came back into maplestory and I wanted to purchase NX via my credit card. I got an error saying I can not use this payment method because I did something untrustworthy or something I have no idea what this means, would I be able to get some help on this?

This ticket was never answered. I admit, I took a break from maple during this time, so I really didn't notice how long it was since it was looked at.

Recently, I came back into maple -shoot me- and the error was still there. I submitted another ticket, this time it was answered right away. It went as follows:

I submitted a ticket almost 8 months ago about this same thing, I still haven't received an answer.

I have never once bought NX through credit or paypal or anything, it has always been via game card. I remember coming on once I got my credit card hoping to buy NX but I get an error saying it's been banned for billing. I even created a new account and tried, I got the same error. I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it but I would appreciate help on this.

If any information is needed please feel free to ask, thank you very much for your time.

What can I do about my account being blocked from billing?

Hey Nexon, thank you for taking the time again to read my ticket. The last one I posted was answered so fast, I was surprised and happy to see it. I appreciate it a lot. However, the answer I received still left much explaining to be desired.

My account is banned from billing, but I still don't know why. I was given a list of possibilities, however none of them apply to me in any way at all. Whenever I had NX, it was from prepaid cards, nothing else. I have had this account for such a long time, I don't recall anything that would be a cause for this ban.

At this current moment, it is very difficult for me to get out to buy prepaid cards. Working on my license right now, and my mom is in no physical condition to drive me anywhere. Maplestory has been a part of my life for a long time, and this whole thing is so confusing to me.

I am willing to do anything to get the right to use my credit card for NX purchasing. I see no harm in letting a legit player generate more revenue for the company.

Again, I appreciate the time you took to read this. I just don't understand why my account is locked from using a billing service when I have never done anything to deserve it.

Sigh....so they have top secret information against me...lovely. Nexon is going to take over the world, watch your step.

Seriously though guys, this is just wrong. I don't understand their logic....not one bit. They ban a legit player for no reason, for what? They are hurting their revenue flow, for nothing. What is this solving? How many innocent players got banned for this?

I understand Nexon has many players, but their game is dying...it is. RED was lovely, it brought people back, they will all leave again. Again, I will admit that getting answered fast was cool, but they did nothing to SUPPORT the CUSTOMER. What is the point of having customer service if they refuse to help us? Especially legit players...

It's like a police officer arresting someone for stealing. The guy shows a valid receipt showing that he purchased the item, but the cop throws him in jail anyway. It's so stupid...

Have you guys gone through this horse radish? It's such a pain.

I think its that you actually stuck with not buying nx, others bought nx within a month of playing. Plus, Nexon is just cheap like that.

sells more than just NX cards

i had the same thing happen to me this is what they said (take it as nexon telling you they dont want our money)

In order to investigate your issue, I need a bit more information.

As far as I can tell you should not have any trouble using any of our payment features, so I have a few questions:

" Are you using Internet Explorer when attempting to make a purchase? Since our website is optimized for Internet Explorer I would hope that would be your best chance of it working.
" If it still is not working for you, could you let me know the version of IE you are using?
" Sometimes debit and prepaid cards don't play well with the verification system.
o If you tried using a debit card, have you been successful in using it before?
o If you tried using a prepaid card, have you been successful in using it before?
" By any chance have you contacted your bank to see if they are stopping the transactions on their end for any reason?
Also, try clearing your cookies and browsers
" Lastly, have you contacted UltimatePay or PayPal to see if they have an issue with your payment method?

UltimatePay and PayPal are third party vendors we use for processing transactions and they may be able to shed some light on this issue. If you have not already contacted them you can reach their customer support here:

You can always buy UGC from Offgamers.com. Watch out on the UGC balances tho. Ultimate points can be a hassle to redeem.
