Another Hacked Thread? Oh yes
Yes, you guessed it.
I got hacked-- but you know what? I don't care, and you don't either. And if you do, don't.
I don't care that I got hacked, that I lost all motivation to play this game (from what little I even had left, Grindfest k thx)
but the only reason I made this thread is TO WARN YOU.
Get This!:
1) I NEVER logged in from the Site. (I dont trust Nexon that Much.)
2) Changed pass within the last Month (Like, srsly now?)
3) Am not an Idiot. (No Websites gave me some "Keylogger" or anything of the sort.)
4) Rarely even friggin played. (Cmon now.)
So, before you NX Buyers go out and say "Its not Nexon's fault, it is the User--" I say Shut up. Know why?
Hacked accounts have been so much common now more than ever, this is Fact among Basil.
I did all the things a REGULAR player should, and I've been around awhile. (6 years)
So, whatever. What do I expect from a Free2Play Game.
Even IF I wanted to play again, what's the Point? It can Repeat anytime. To ANYONE.
I don't want to scare you. I just want people to know the FACTS.
Off Topic: I finished my Cube Simulator before I got hacked (A day before actually) but further Projects are at a Dead Halt for now.
I will make a thread advertising it soon, but the Hacking of my account made me lose motivation for that as well.

I cycle through emails every month or so since i started. Also, my email passwords are all different with random capitals. My PIC i change every other week. And my account password is also changed every 5 weeks.
To some this may seem extreme but to this day i have never been hacked also, even when i go on a break from maple i do this.

You are Correct.
This is, if anything, Free2Play Games in General.
Any other Game Managing Company would not let this happen to thier Subscribers (WoW, perfect example).

In a perfect world there are no hacker due to 100% safe account security and yes Nexon should be looking hard into how the hackers get into the database, but this is the real world, far from perfect and there is nothing we players can do if Nexon is not doing their job. The only thing we can do is try to make our info very hard for the hackers to find out, which is by changing the password(s) to the criteria I posted earlier.

The email password should be 16-19 char with random upper/lower case letters, numbers and symbols. You should only need to change it once if it not already in the criteria I listed, but the MS password should be changed right after every SC to be more safe.

Grindfest? not really. Its how you play the game, most people play to level and some only play to chat or roam for fun. Nexon isnt even forcing you to have a grind fest.
Nexon is probably on a conspiracy. For those who dont log in for a long time, hack is money and hack his epic equips.

You need to change your passwords (ms and email) to 16 to 19 chars long with RANDOM upper/lower case letters, numbers and symbol and change it right after every SC.
With so many people reporting they gotten hack, the only explainable reason is a database leak, which means the hackers able to get hold of the user account's password encrypted string and using a cracking tool to try to brute force crack passwords, those with easy/short passwords will get hacked. Mostly likely those NX/meso sellers that smega in game are the hackers, as you probably lost all NX/meso and any easily sell-able equipments.

i agree with you, after the pvp came out i took a break and just recently came back and i lost 700m. and my claw. but im not really sure how it happened and i followed all the "Rules"
