Maple on an external?

Is it possible to play maple from an external hard drive? Cos i was thinking of getting a chromebook for school and etc. I really need a new laptop under a budget of $300 and need an external for other stuff.

Windows is infinitely more useful than chrome books.

Just buy windows.. It's better for most things (a bit more expensive, but it's worth it in the long run)[/quote]
