Atk% or Boss Dmg%

-I know there are probably a number of threads like this one but none of them really clarified anything, or i couldn't find it and im blind-

Will Atk% be more effective against bosses or boss damage%.
My secondary is 100% boss damage but i'm planning on getting an alternative which is an attack% ( If Atk% is better)

I have a total of 187% boss DMG

Shout at me Basil
Where are you getting those numbers of %boss = %att? Because they don't have matching ratios.
TS has 187% Boss Damage, so he's simply adding on 30%, 35%, 40%, and dividing the new amount by the current to get the DPS increase. However, this is only applicable if the TS has 0% Attack, which is what he assumes.

It's not an issue most people need to worry about. If you get the Gollux+CRA sets, and just cube normally (normal potential for %pdr, att, and boss, bonus for % att, neb for %boss), you should fall within the proper range.
How much %total damage do you have from skills and passives?

Ignoring your sources of total damage, 30% boss is worth 10.45% attack. 35% is worth 12.2% attack and 40% boss is worth 13.9% attack.

Adding in those sources of total damage, one line of 12% attack should increase your damage more than any line of %boss.

It's relatively simple to do the math for yourself. A given line of %boss or %attack will increase your damage in the following way
(1+ new line + current%)/(1 + current%) = %dps increase
This illustrates that with 0% attack, a 12% attack line will increase your damage by 12%. With 200% boss+total a 30% boss line will increase your damage by 10%.
Keep in mind, that you need to add your %boss and %total together when performing this calculation.
You need some more %boss. Somewhere between 250 and 300% boss is ideal. That's when you should be going for more %att. However, you shouldn't worry about getting %boss on bonus pot though. On bonus pot you can only get relatively lower lines of %boss so it's much better to go for %att on bonus pot.

Well at 187% boss, U can still get atleast 63% boss damage before you need %atk to start balancing your boss damage with atk%.
