We know that, but it still doesn't mean MapleStory won't be affected. The quality of the game, similarities it holds and how P2W the game is will be what affects this game in my opinion. Of course there will be some that remain, but if the game is good and has similar Cash Shop elements, the chances of most people playing both games simultaneously is pretty low to me.

You still have a good 2 years until the full game comes out, and even longer before anything major appears in the store so it should still be worth it.
Plus MS1 should still be up for a while after MS2's release so it's still worth putting in money if you feel like it.
Then again, Nexon made kind of a dumb move announcing Maplestorys sequal, now nobody's going to spend money on the original because they're waiting for it's sequal!

Well, the real question is not the play portion, but the pay portion. I'm guessing it wont be worth to put much real money into this game anymore?
