Guardian works over top of Divine Shield

Before Chaos rolled around, I was never able to catch a glimpse of Guardian working overtop of Divine Shield, and I believe it did not occur at all. However, after the Chaos patch I've been seeing Guardian's animation while Divine Shield is active while taking touch damage from enemies. I'll be updating this thread later with whether or not this consumes a charge now. Paladins, CELEBRATE!

Five bouts of Divine Shield later, I have been unable to replicate the phenomenon... May be by virtue of a 13% guard rate, or it may be that I was mistaken. This does not bode well...

What you probably saw was Guardian activating on a magic hit. That could still occur, as Divine Shield did not block those. Still doesn't.
And no, I did not have Power Guard on.

Basically, yeah, just standing on a mob would work. Not many other ways to test it.

I disagree with this. I remember seeing it. (Though what really matters is what we have now.)

I'll try testing it later to see what we've got. Maybe I'll have an easier time since I have Guardian maxed. This will be less confusing if you tell me exactly what you're looking for and how exactly you were testing it. Are you just standing in mobs and looking for the Guardian animation to occur while the Divine Shield buff is on?

@Scorp989 How should that alter either Guardian or Divine Shield? Should we test that, too?

Did you happen to have PG on?

Before the update Guardian did not activate while Divine Shield was active, meaning that Guardian made Divine Shield harder to activate and did not make it last any longer by protecting you from hits while it was active.

Are you saying Guardian was inactive while Divine Shield was active and now that is no longer true?
