A couple things
Hey I was just wondering but is it normal to get more than 5 AP from a level up cause I think that's what happened when I leveled up today from 59 to 60. Or is it just a glitch? And I'm sure I didn't have any left over from the previous level.
The other thing is that I was wondering is that if 428 magic is good for my level (I'm 60 by the way). I know you're gonna say that I shouldn't worry about until 120 blah blah blah but I still wanna know. In case it helps, I have a Marbas hat, like 10 magic attack Work Gloves, and a 5 int Bathrobe, 4 Zombie Rings, a like 10 magic attack earrings and the rest are normal magician equips for my level. And a clean pharaoh belt (not the immortal one).

@tophercstr: Well I never remember getting 10AP until level 60, so iono. :S
I doubt theyd give us 5 extra AP every advancement, because that'd just be too unfair, wouldnt it?
It happens everytime you gain a new mastery, starting at 6th.
So when you get to level 80 (7th mastery), you'll get 10 AP. Level 100, 10 AP, level 120, 10 AP and finally at 160, 10AP.
Yeah it about average or a little above
