Katara Bera
Hello friends, I was wondering if this katara is worth 2.5B, its decent, and probably the second best katara in the FM for bera. I dont train that much but i do boss often, I was looking for a well scrolled SW katara or fafnir, but that doesnt seem to be working out too well these days any feedback is much appreciated ~

price was lowered to 1.8 , still unsure.

@bigbater: Ideal potentials are... [Fafnir] Dagger: 70%boss 9%attack + 21%attack bonus potential. [Sweet Water] Katara: 70%boss 10% attack or 33% attack, 23% attack bonus potential. [Lv.100]Gold Maple Emblem: 12%attack 40% PDR 9% attack + 21% attack bonus potential.
Because DBs have a passive 50% PDR boost when using Phantom Blow they don't need nearly as much PDR from other locations. This basically means that once you have a Leafre codex + CRA/Gollux + Some or all link skills for %PDR... you end up only really needed one more added line of PDR. And the best location to get that is from the emblem since you cannot get %boss from it. So a 35%/40% PDR line on the emblem with the other lines being %attack is what you want most. As for why %boss is wanted on the main potential of both items thats due to optimization of %boss to %attack, which going by the calculations basically says that until you have 360% boss you don't really need much %attack (It's around 34%) to be perfectly optimized for the most damage possible against bosses.
How the %PDR boost works with PB... Say you have 76% PDR in your status window. When you use PB that would actually increase to 76% + 24% x .5 = 76 + 12 = 88 %. The prime amount of %PDR to have is between 90 and 94%. So once you have 80% PDR showing in the status window you would then have already achieved 90% when using PB.

Kind whack tbh. Might as well just sell it kinda cheap then buy a clean faf with unique pot and 15% trace it yourself.

i think he ment to say that dbs dont need %pdr because they have some on their skills such as 30% pdr on phantom blow and 20% on blade fury.

hmm, can u explain why dbs dont need %PDR? and what potential should dbs aim for on their weapons then? thanks

Uhm probably not, if it was the sweet water katara itself I would probably say yes for the time being, and then innocence and re scroll.
